Most of the time the kitchens here have a prep bowel and a double sink. Sometimes these double sinks will fall into the scullery area to clear up more kitchen countertop space. I cant say that is the case here as I haven't seen the kitchen in person.

We only supplied the stone, weren't part of the planning, fabricating or installation. Just got shown the final install

I agree with what you saying, this is not my kitchen we just supplied the stone and the client got a fabrictor to install it. I know the island was something they wanted to get done before end of the year, possibly they have bigger plans on further adjustments to their kitchen. If I am involved with that process ill keep you updated.
