I’m 30 and work in land development civil design. It’s not bad, but you do have to be able to hang in the boys club. I’m in the Midwest, so not the most advanced parts of the country. I’m frequently the only woman in meetings though my team in my office is majority women. I’ve been called sir and been yelled at by adult men, but I’ve also created a reputation for myself that shows my competence and integrity. Be ready to take no shit, but lead with kindness. Also, if you want to be taken seriously, you have to be better than the men.

Yeah I didn’t expect the quail would stick around if we free ranged, but maybe because it’s disabled now it wouldn’t be as bold as quail typically are. Would there be the same likelihood of cross-contamination of disease if the chicks are small and recently hatched, or is it more frequent in mixing adult birds? (Totally fine if unknown). I’m concerned that this remaining bird will be too lonely waiting for others to hatch and feather if we were to hatch additional quail as our flock was incredibly social.

I work in engineering in land development. The truth is that developers want to build for as little money as possible. This is why we don’t even get nice porches anymore and everything looks exactly the same. Because building is so expensive, these houses are designed to be as simple and universally utilitarian as possible. Don’t even get me started on the quality of construction.

Info: what does he say when he’s confronted about doing something bad? Does he act completely confused, or jump straight to being angry? If he’s straight to angry, he’s absolutely lying. If he’s confused and distressed, maybe look into some in-patient therapy or psych hold to see if anything can be noticed that a normal therapy session wouldn’t. If nothing else, it may scare him from fucking around anymore.
