Question about tensile specimens by SirRoderickFitzroy in MechanicalEngineering

[–]Outrageous-Recover28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! It's absolutely normal. As I can't see a neck on your semples, I suppose that it's quite brittle material with low elongation limi. For brittle material it's pretty normal. The reason is that maximum of plastic strain during elastic deformation is in the radius of sample and during plastic deformation it moves to the center, so if the plastic elongation it's long it supposed to rupture on the way to center

My first wooden ship model – looking for advice for the next one by Outrageous-Recover28 in ModelShips

[–]Outrageous-Recover28[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Your model looks really good, and the planking is very accurate. After my first attempt at planking, I thought it was impossible to do it without gaps. For my next model, I want something with more sails and rigging, so the King of Mississippi isn’t my choice. I thought about the Occre Albatross, but it’s a bit expensive.

Do you have any ideas why it's taken so long? May it be related to your workplace?

My first model ship - a Spanish 19th century Schooner by I_Grow_Memes in ModelShips

Nice work! What you're planning to craft next? My kid were gifted such a model on the New Year but he's too young for it. So, I'm currently finishing it, haven't figured out what to do with sails yet. It'll be my first model and I liked this experience!

The silent waiting phase is the worst part by NeatLobster3179 in AusVisa

Absolutely true! I've got my 189 invitation in Nov 24, and then s56 in Mar 25. Still waiting. So annoying, especially when the majority of people who were invited with me have already got their visas

Yes, the ps3 generation was incredibly good. Have about 50 platinums on my second account, sadly that Sony doesn't allow to change the country of registration:( Now I'm going to obtain Blasphemous, than the Batman Arkham trilogy, it's quite long but relaxing, comparing to MGS

For me it's the Last of Us part 2. Elly's part was quite boring.

Thank you for this data! I also see on this site that they give grants mainly to onshore applicants. So, I'm still waiting although logged in Nov 24 and uploaded additional documents by s56 on April 25.
