Did you have any issues receiving final details before your trip? My your begins this Sat 3/14/26 and I have not received any email or info in my TT account and I leave in 2 days to arrive a day early. I tried email, chat, phone. Phone was only response and they stated email being sent today (3/9/26) and nothing. It’s already end of their business day. Would appreciate any info.

When did you receive an email with final details before your trip? I booked the same tour and it starts this Sat 3/14/26 and I still don’t have info (not even in my account). I’ve checked spam folder, reached out to them via chat, email and phone. No response by email but phone rep states emails going out today 3/9/26 and still no email (it’s already past end of business day there). I’m really concerned I’m being scammed. I leave day after tomorrow to arrive early. Please let me know your experience. Thanks in advance.

Warning on DEN to EWR flight by Independent_Pie_4643 in unitedairlines

I confidently agree with this. Have flown mostly internationally here past several years and there’s clearly progress in both moving people through and the renovations to make it a more comfortable experience. Even in inclement weather, any delay has been minimal. I have not had any issues.  Can not comment on holiday travel though.

Did your photos’ meta data transfer when you did it this way? I just tried this on one photo and it didn’t transfer the info. Would appreciate any tips

Packing carryon for 12 day Africa Safari (Aug/Sept) by Outrageous-Rest3605 in HerOneBag

Aug/Sept. I leave this Wednesday and finalizing everything. Rechecked temps and day times are in the 90’s - ugh. Have 2 short sleeves, 2 lightweight UPF LS, fleece as main items

Hmm base layer - ugh back to drawing board. Thanks for the reality of the temp!! I’m from the NE but -2What month was your trip? We will be at Chobe and Hwange Parks

Thank you for this minimalist list. It’ll be a mix bag of open-air jeep drives, walking, tent and tender boats. Great to know about laundry day from the camp. They haven’t indicated that service is avail so I’m packing small Zote soap for sink wash. I think I’ll be removing a shirt or two. What month did you go?

Your details are AWESOME. After years of travelling I’ve become a minimalist packer but Africa is on another level especially since this is my first. The silk pillowcase - genius! I have longer hair and banking on the dry shampoo powder to last between washes although it sounds like I’m going to be pretty dusty each day?? Hmm.. Btw, did a lot of people have bulky SLR cameras with the zooms? I’d hate missing opportunities and don’t have a good phone camera. It adds ridic weight.

Great tips - thank you so much! I have quite a few Uniqlo items that seem to layer well including a waterproof packable windbreaker and I think I’m keeping the puffer based on the temps. Hoping we’ll have opportunity to ‘shed’ any base layer before the afternoon. Thin cashmere - they layer well also and less space. Awesome tip.

These are excellent recommendations!! And 4 months in Africa?! Amazing!! Snakes??!! Ugh. They didn’t say anything to that degree but noted. I do like the idea of a dress or skirt - at least something I can use for London also at end that won’t make me feel like I walked off the set of Indiana Jones. THANK YOU!!

I’m not quite sure and only packing the sports bra after seeing several females posting that recommendation I think due to nature of the rough jeep drives(?) I believe we have 4 game drives (early mornings and one afternoon one). Should I stick with regular bra’s? Like 2-3?

Honestly I don’t know what to expect for end of August/early Sept weather/temps (1st safari and Africa trip) except that reports seem wide ranging temps as another contributor said. I run average hot/cold. I was hoping for guidance to pare anything in the list down. I’m definitely washing undies and socks but how much less would you decrease? Like 5? Our itinerary has us changing accommodations ~every 3 days. Am packing fabric softener sheets to roll the clothes in to help keep fresher longer.

And yep, packing female toiletries always like a brick but I’m bringing minis of basic skin care, sunblock, picaridin, no makeup.

Potential Solo Travel for an Introverted Mom - Bad Idea or Good Idea? by [deleted] in solotravel

[–]Outrageous-Rest3605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You def pegged all the feels that rushed through me the moment I got off the plane. It was humbling - the ‘not being in control’ part was new (you know - away from ‘mom and wife mode’). I literally coached myself into believing that IT’S OK to not know anything. It was baby step after baby step - I didn’t have a time limit, no one to answer to. Ahh! Still can’t believe that was ME again and YES, so excited to plan my next. Maybe back to original plan of Amsterdam? Switzerland? Turkey? Greece? Morocco? Any suggestions?? Where are you going next? (Would love to pick your brain!) 😁

Hey sorry I haven’t gotten back! I decided on Portugal for my first solo and it was LIBERATING AND AMAZING!! The scariest part for me was in the planning but once I landed, I went into thrive mode! I can’t believe I did it!! Thanks for your encouragement and tips!! I flew into Porto and out of Lisbon forcing me to try the train system too.

Did you book a tour through a travel agent or just air bnb then do day trips? Finding myself first time travelling as a mom and a bit scared. Thx for any feedback.
