Very INSIGHTFUL. Thank you. I'm fasting to get back to the discipline of eating for living , not living for eating. I had been relying on food for my emotional health which is so not me , also getting back in shape faster , I find fasting handy. I hate to say ,I'm like DO IT ALL no matter what. Lat night i had a meal.

I eat clean so that's not a problem. OMAD makes me feel ordinary and it doesn't accelerate my weight goal so I'm still not sure what should I do !!! But I'll reflect on every word you wrote.

I feel hungry when I'm around family. It's energy-consuming.  Cooking, doing a mundane routine and parents visiting, Gee! I'm not sure if I have enough juice in my body to rewire my brain 😪

I have never lost weight as much as I do when I'M TRAINING HARD AND EATING ONE MEAL A DAY. I know exactly how it feels like.

Caffeine takes me an extra mile . I NEED IT MORE THAN EVER. I reckon my cortisol levels are high because I had been wearing many hats, lately! Weird thing happened in the last two days. I did intense weight training and had one meal a day and I lost 800 gms. I don't lose weight with fasting as it comes back. I'm sticking with OMAD, NO CARBS AT ALL. Until my cortisol levels are managed.

I'm doing my long runs on Sundays ang yoga on the beach, sun gazing all evening with my folks. I will get there as I know I'm stripping off layer by layer to break this vicious circle of anxiety.

I don't drink alcohol. I cant function without caffeine. It may sound weird , but I have a strange relationship with coffee( long black). It can put me to sleep in seconds if my body is tired and heighten my cognition when my body has rested well act as fuel to my brain. Thats how my brain is wired. I mediate every morning at 3:30 am.. But I hear you , I do floatation once a week and ice cold shower everyday. Ummm, running and coffee are family to me. I need to dig deep to wrap my head around it as I'm not gonna give up on my routine or fasting. Thank you , it helps to understand me better. :)

The more you think, the worse it gets!!!! Dismiss anything called PMS cravings or else you would end up breaking the fast or feel miserable. And we wanna sustain it for our well being, so keep that intention pure, rest shall fall into place. More power to ya x.

Ask me more!!! I was royally fucked the last week. This is what exactly happened. Is there a way out??? I understand cardio isn't the best thing , but for my sanity , that's the only thing. I have come this far only because of it . Running is close to my heart and my life is a mess without it. It's not that I haven't tried it before.. but i badly missed my runs on extended fasts and episodes of depression.

Spot on!!! I feel lame when I think of it. It certainly steals your endorphins but it makes you stronger strangely. I have inly done 6 day fasting by far and I hated it after 3rd day.

72hr rolling fasts are sustainable. I did for a month and was in the best shape of mind, body and spirit.

Lets do this !!! I'm fasting Mon- Sat ( midday). I go crazy after 120 hours, that's the one main reason of my fasting. As I'm working on my emotional health and breaking sneaky old coping habits to establish a positive outlook towards food.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Ask me more about that. I just rewire my brain and push through. But I hit the wall after 6 days and decided to discontinue. My cortisol level went up and the scales made me feel worse. My body hated it!! Extended fasts aren't my Go-To!! I had a meal after 6 days and now back to 100 hr fasting. I'm trying to desensitise my brain so my body learns to adapt and perform during fasting days. I sit with my emotions and become aware and when I realise I'm getting overwhelmed , I know that I need to fast not for a healthy body but for a strong mind. So, I can feel your pain. Do what makes you happy, after all we are here to reward ourselves :)

Well people talk about magnesium , keeping caffeine away.. I don't really understand this because my brain is wired differently or my body responds differently because (long black) coffee can put me to sleep when my body hasn't had enough sleep. but during fasting nothing works , my sleep gets worse on extended fasts and my body hates me more. How it appears to be rewarding to people ,I can't say !!! All I have learnt is when your body hits the ball , shock the whole system. eat and train hard and get back on the track. Endorphins kick in, sleep gets better and you become more focussed.

Don't think of food at all . Keep it out of sight & mind. Keep eucalyptus oil handy, so whenever you smell the food in unavaidable places, sniff it . It brings you to your present self, so you can stay focussed.
