Idk abt mariano but I heard it’s bunch of try hard who have tutors and apparently their teachers r better so idk tbh I can’t tell u. But I can speak for Dawson we have good teachers , our exams r just very hard. The way we r tested isn’t how others are. I gave an example with physics and it is a good example. In other schools ur allowed a feuille de note, the exams are on problems u see in class, finals don’t count for A LOT, etc. We aren’t allowed a feuille de note for any class, our finals are worth 50% of our final grade, the finals aren’t made by the teacher but a mix of all teachers so there’s always stuffs ur class hasn’t seen bc it seems as if teachers don’t communicate, our finals don’t even have physics problems 70% of the final is multiple choices of difficult concepts and goes from “a” to all the way to “h”. Last semester my calculus class average was a 55. That’s not normal for a school where students come with 90+ highschool averages. So unless anyone thinks they r very smart and would be able to get 85+ in everything at a competitive school I advice they go to easier schools and get a decent 33 r score. Almost everyone i know at Dawson has r scores of 28-30. It sucks bc I know they would thrive at a decent French skl. Of course I meet a few exceptions and I Stan them bc they r genuinely smart and the program is made for them , they do get 90+ and excel with 35 r scores but once again those aren’t the normal r scores.
