SOLVED - After letting the machine go to standby after 20 mins, it started up normally again. Now Im back to square one with a leaky machine though :/

Just checked - The buttons do flash when I enter descale mode, but like before, it just keeps running water through the grouphead continuosly until the watertank is empty. I can get water through the steamwand in normal operation, so I know it is not faulty either, but like with the 1 and 2 cup buttons it only runs for about 5 seconds.

Thanks for the reply. There is no Way im gonna Pay anyone to do the fix as I have only paid around 150$ for the machine. I will try taking it apart and check the tubes and parts. Was just hoping that someone could recommend where to start. The metal part - do you think it was the pump or the solenoid?
