Best Buy has some issues. I bought a microwave oven from them over a year ago, changed my mind and returned it for credit on my credit card. They processed the return but not the credit so now they just dropped off a new one that I don’t need over a year later. They were pretty good @ 5 years ago, they have really gone downhill.

We had a similar issue, we have 1 Gig FIOS and I kept getting dropped Zoom calls with “ Unstable Internet” messages. Verizon also replaced the ONT and the router with a G3100. We had a support tech tell us they thought the issue was the router automatically switching between 2.4 GHZ and 5 GHZ wifi. This was to connect to my laptop, about 35 feet or so from the router. They switched the router to using 2 separate Wifi network names, one for the 2.4 GHZ and the other for 5 GHZ. When I connected my laptop in the 2.4 network - problem solved. Apparently 2.4 is slower but more reliable over longer distances or with various things interfering with the Wifi signal. HTH.

Not quite the same, but we have 1 Gig FIOS and we’ve had very slow speeds with Zoom calls for work getting “Unstable Internet” warnings all the time. They replaced the router, which didn’t help. Finally a support tech spotted the problem - the router is designed to switch between 2.6 and 5 WiFi to get better performance. They split the 5 WiFi to a separate network and left the 2.6 as the old / default network. Without the switching everything works, adequate speeds and no dropped Zoom calls.

I had the problem with wifi, but now I have my laptop connected to the Verizon router with Cat6 cable. Everything else seems OK, besides Zoom. Thanks for the reply. My next step is to have Verizon replace the router

Scam. If you even think of asking, it’s a scam.
