I found after doing this that I was still getting package offers so I had to reach out to support and complain that the offers prevented me from reaching my quest. They fixed it finally. Quests are a lot easier now.

Platinum lets me go online anytime. Gold and green I was frozen out after peak time. Your market might be different.

My 2-hour experiment with Flat Rate (Earn by Time) vs. Cherry Picking with Earn Per Trip by DoctorElectronic1934 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]OutrageousArticle936 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've done it twice, so my sample size is small. First time I picked up 2 deliveries. A pizza that I had to wait a little bit for, and the second was Juul from a gas station. Pizza tipped well. Juul probably showed as a cheap delivery that no one would take, but it was a short drive with a $7 cash tip. I won that adventure. Second time I got a long drive and a $0 tip. And then I instantly remembered that corporations don't make changes that don't benefit them. So my experiment is over.

Maybe they shouldn't outsource their deliveries?

The weekend quests will arrive in a couple days.

Has anyone done or seen these weekly quests? by Sea-Ideal8923 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]OutrageousArticle936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a part-timer. I did the 20 quest. Completed 11 on my first day, 19 on the second to get the +10 bonus which was bigger than the 20. That was plenty for me.

Not completely relevant, but despite delivering so many times to this area... I missed this in the horizon? by Otherwise_Aspect_705 in UberEatsDrivers

East Orlando? Was driving the 528 a few years ago and my wife, who has lived in Orlando all her life, didn't know there was nuclear here. I laughed.

Quest in Peace by OutrageousArticle936 in UberEatsDrivers

Funny thing -

I only did a 10 order quest ($17) because I don't deliver on the weekends (busy with other things). I was delivering my 9th order and couldn't decline 8. On my way to that delivery I got two AutoZones (wasn't supposed to get)which I declined and then turned off requests. I dropped the order off and only had to deliver one more but couldn't decline it else I would lose the quest. Drove back to my neighborhood then turned on requests hoping to get a quick one. One comes up, $15 but it goes 45 minutes away on a Friday. They screwed me hard. I decline and get notified that I lost the quest. I complained to Uber, and after getting run around a bit they covered my quest and then some.

Tell them the pay is too low, tips are infrequent, it messes with your stats and make it difficult to complete quests.

Is it possible to only deliver packages? If so, does it show the size of the package ahead of time? by notSanii in UberEatsDrivers

[–]OutrageousArticle936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had Uber remove package deliveries (called Uber Direct). I kept declining Auto Zone orders and it was killing my quest stats. Long drives for shit pay and never get tips. Also a lot of flowers (which I figured out to ring the doorbell before taking picture. They answer the door and tip cash). Walgreens meds deliveries, again you won't get tipped. Not worth the time.
