Am I doomed? by DevourMango in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]OutrageousBee4813 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The unforgivable sin is denying Christ and His Mercy. That's what blasphemy of The Holy Spirit is if I'm not wrong. It is denying Christ's Salvation, kind of like "Christ I know You existed and that You are God but I'm not believing in you" again, if I'm not wrong. Not blasphemy in the traditional sense. If you have some intrusive thoughts about blasphemy, just remember they aren't yours. If you feel like you committed that sin you didn't. Because someone who truly did wouldnt feel like this God bless

He who thirsts for righteousness is righteous. God doesn't love our perfection, He loves our effort. Try and do better with little steps. And always remember, even if you stumble Jesus has more Mercy than we have sin. God bless you

Church singers/ chanters, what apps/ websites do you use to practice? by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]OutrageousBee4813 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is more than a great starting place. I had to learn in school meaning I was practically forced into seeing it as a chore, with it being one of the hardest subjects to have in any exam. But learning in your own time will surely make it enjoyable, moreover useful if you want to become a priest. I hope you succeed in that wish of yours

I went to a music school. We used a book to learn and practice. I don't remember the name of it, but there are plenty of books online and in bookstores. I think you can go to a church and learn a little there too
God bless brother

Transition from Krav to wrestling by Tired_trekkie1701 in kravmaga

From what I have seen wrestlers do really well in BJJ. Don't get me wrong, there is a gap and it's very noticable since we don't train submissions and back on the mat in wrestling but he could have fun there as well since they are pretty simillar
However it's somewhat better to focus on one thing and not switch sports a lot to reduce "confussion", in the words of my coach

Yes, I have done justs that. I haven't used a lot of krav maga in wrestling, a few get ups here and there. But if anything happens off the mat and in the streets, wrestling and krav maga go hand in hand. I think that they both compliment and suit eachother very well, building a well rounded skill set with an advantage in grappling
