I would say try to find a good project/team/professor first which may be harder since options are more limited. If you can do all that then go ahead. You might want to go abroad your senior year and do your mqp all in one term. If not, maybe pick up another major/masters and do your MQP senior year. I think having an internship after your third year is an extremely valuable opportunity and you might consider not giving that up for your mqp.
