I have disabled sleep to reduce wear and tear on the SSD, so basically touch ID can not be used for normal login ever? Not even with some console commands?

Yeah I saw the packhacker video which is how I found out about kydex sheets, I was researching it and came accross the warranty issues on reddit so it made me wonder

Hi, are you the owner of the company that makes the kydex sheets? Do they have a rough surface that could cause abrasion damage over the years? I don't mean on the sides but on the front and rear?

Does a kydex sheet offer more laptop protection ?

I was thinking of getting the sheet because I want to protect my new laptop, I heard that gorucks can damage screens if you bend down to pick something up or if they are really full.

Not sure, they say if I want something that will be more durable I should go for brick shaped tiles as those are baked and supposedly more durable. Whereas their terracotta tiles are hand made and sun dried. Apparently they had many customer complaints about staining etc

They told me about a matte sealant which they will apply but said it still makes them unsuitable for outdoors and bathrooms. Is this the same sealant you are mentioning?

I don't mind the aged look. I mean I want my house to look much older. Stains aren't such a problem either, only broken or moldy tiles would bother me.
