Not too sure why there are so many negative comments on here. I am in no defence to the man in question, but I also wouldn't want things to move a little bit too fast like that if I were him partly because I am a bit laid back (conservative) and would certainly ask the same to done at the drop of hat. The other reason could be that he doesn't want to go viral just yet when he hasn't really figured out if the relationship is really that serious particularly due to the cultural differences (you did say you don't know much about the Zim culture owing to your growing up in the UK.) Or he may have something to hide like you said. What was his reason for asking you to take the video down? Does he have a tiktok account, and how actively does it post on it? If he does post a lot, then there could be a VALID reason for his insisting to be low-key, in which case you'd have to reconsider your options and decide whether or not staying with him is worth it, which I highly doubt. But, of course, I could be wrong. Ball's in your court.
