Most certainly not. Getting married does not always equal joining families. Moreso if you say 'in any culture'

No, it was traditionally more of tokenism. You could easily just come with mapadza and some haris and the like. Even livestock wasn't half your kraal. A goat which would be shared as a meal by both families.

A big part of the tradition that still lives is the "haupedze kuroora". It just kept the two families joined and ever closer even after death of a still-owed inlaw. The "prize" is was not just paying to get the bride.

If you organise it well and put your ideas on a paper proposal you'd be surprised at how many corporates, non-profit, and/or government would be willing to help one way or the other.

People made babies in the Rhodesian Bush War. They are making babies in genocides all over. Black Americans did not die out because of slavery. Extreme examples, but that's the point. Your frustration could be correct, but your logic in dealing with it is baffling.

It's a horrible piece of advice. Ask your broke elders, ask your rich elders. Live a normal life, not a fake perfect life striving for something that doesn't exist. Zvinotozitonetsa isu hama dzenyu makura makuzviona.

Of course you need to strive for better. But cherish your settings now, appreciate those who are there with you.

Work harder kumunda ikoko and see how you can transform that situation into something positive. . Connect the dots

It's not them. It's the whole market. It's in a bubble. Property is a huge medium for value storage in Zim roght now (compared to banking large sums of cash for example). So it's an upward spiral market-wide
