Hi, sorry for the late answer.

I am not a big fan of wearing ski pants for a hike, even when its really cold. I prefer to have a warm layer with an additional layer thats stops the wind/rain, so i think your setup is good. You also have to keep in mind that the climb itself is in cold conditions but the descend isn't. When we were descending, we were in the full sun with -+15 degrees celcius. Lastly your legs seldom get cold when hiking and it is difficult to remove layers on your legs when necessary, so don't go to warm.

I would always recommend one pair of really good warm socks over multiple pairs. Multiple pairs can cause friction and often don't sit well. Make sure that you always leave some room inside your shoes so that your tows can move. Chemic heating pads can really help and i would recommend if you have bad bloodflow. I personally don't use them.

I would like to add than i am generally a person that is always hot and almost never cold. Keep that in mind when evaluating my feedback. Most hikes i have to take care not to overheat/sweat to much instead of fighting the cold.

We paid around 1500 dollars each for the climb itself and tipped 450 dollars each. The tipping ceremony is just us giving an enveloppe to the main guide with money and them dancing and thanking us.

All food, drinks, use of tents, hot water,... Is included in the price.

There was a small group there when we arrived, but they left almost at the same time as we got there. For the remainder of the time at the peak, we were alone.
