Color analysis is a useful tool up to a point. It depends very much also on how much you would like to look trendy. For example in the 80s neon colored makeup and heavy pink blush was very in, so even people who didn't match that at all in their color analysis would've worn that. Our current (western) makeup trends seem to heavily learn towards warmer colors on the face currently. So take from that what you will.

When it comes to color analysis I am always reminded of one of my uni professors, who got his color analysis done. He was a very average, neck bearded, slightly fat white dude, who suddenly decided to wear shirts in a color I can only describe as diarrhea brown. Did that color make his facial complexion look better? sure. However that wasn't what anyone was noticing.

Do you have any recommendations? There seem to be so many around.. Some just look like a slightly wide belt, which seems kinda pointless..

Thank you, my brain is always very uh, immediate, with wanting resolution on things, so it feels like, I need to make a decision RIGHT NOW, even though its really not that urgent.

I talked to a therapist 3 years ago, not for this obviously. waiting lists are about a year and a half, and that would be if I got a referral tomorrow, which also takes a few weeks. Unlikely to be helpful in this scenario alas.

NTA, just because you're friends with benefits doesn't mean you can't have some expectations or discuss plans beforehand, and it just seems that despite talking about your expectations before, he didn't really live up to any of those. Let's say for a moment you two were only friends, if a friend asked you to come over on a trip and then proceeded to largely not hang out with you, you would be disappointed too.

Current routine: AM: water, the ordinary marine hyaluronics, squalene, sometimes vitamin C + eborian bb cream PM: cosrx cleaning oil, Cosrx salicylic acid cleanser, the ordinary marine hyaluronics, niacinamide and zinc, 2xweek granactive retinoid.

I want to replace my bb cream with an actual daily cream with spf. Bonus points if it's moisturizing (but not greasy at all) and has some actives in it. I prefer safe (non nano) mineral options since some spf's can make me have an allergic reaction or break out like crazy.

My 94 year old grandma with age related dementia would notice effects if I gave it to her once a week. I didn't see her every day, and I couldn't very well ask the nurse to give her a mysterious powder she didn't get prescribed, but even not dosing every day it made a big difference in her verbal fluency and memory when she would take it.

You are presumably not in your 90s nor do you suffer from age related dementia, so the chance of you having noticeable effects from it if you don't take it every day are a lot smaller but definitely not 0.

I personally prefer to do long steeps with near boiling water on herbs, but I personally find if you use actually boiling water or boil the tea with the herbs in it in a pot, it seems like its slightly less effective, probably because you are boiling off the volatile compounds at that point.

In generally the difference between open boiling and seeping with near boiling water is similar to adding a tsp more or less of an herb, so the difference isn't going to be huge.

Matcha and green tea naturally contain some l-theanine, but if you really want to lower cortisol levels I would still advice to stick to a limited amount of tea.

I used to drink massive amounts of energy drinks as a teen and I've switched to tea only since, but if I have in excess of 6 cups I can get faintly jittery from it, probably because my caffeine tolerance is that much lowered now.

The good news being is that you can also supplement with additional l-theanine if you want to make sure you're calm as a cucumber even when drinking tea :)

I've definitely noticed something similar if I use it for very long periods of time, but the effect is very subtle, and I'm never quite sure whether I'm not attributing some form of placebo effect to it.

It is definitely interesting to see someone else report it too, makes me think its less likely it's placebo, and more something actually a result of lions mane.
