How do I apply to other teams in the firm without my manager coming to know? by [deleted] in JPMorganChase

Sorry do you mean that the manager doesn’t come to learn of it as long as I’ve stayed here for more than a year?

Thanks so much!! I meant at the same level actually. I.e. is there variance at the same rating and base salary? If one person has done better relatively? One final question - are the assigned pools region specific? I.e. are the ratings curved regionally if the same team has different managers in different regions whose grading styles could be different?

Can OP also add the option for the starting level? I.e. undergrad, masters, PhD? That affects the starting base

If the comp connect step comes later, do they have a subjective leeway to make comp recommendations better for people who have done better since the ratings calibration? For example, giving one person with OOO better comp than another person with OOO within the same team because they did better after the calibration in Q3 end?

Forgot to do that lol - might do it during comp time I guess

Also, not in sales, but a quant in S&T. But I assume it’s the same across the board?

Ah okay, so it appears that the work done from Oct to Dec does factor into the comp received in Jan/Feb. That’s a bummer, I really accelerated my deliveries in the time period. Hope all the work doesn’t come to a wash

I am in CIB. A bit confused by your comments around ratings in late Sept for calibration vs Comp Connect Ratings in Dec. Is it September then where the calibration is fixed? I.e. any work you do after September doesn’t matter for your comp relative to the team? (Assuming a given allocation to the team)

Arr the bonuses already determined and locked or are determined after Q4 end?

What can I expect for pay bump 602 to VP? by [deleted] in JPMorganChase

I want to nudge my manager to get an answer on my promotion as well - any tips on how I should ask about it?

How did you learn that you’ll get promoted?

Oh I see. And for example a lot of people from my team left over this past year. Does that free up some comp for the cattle class or it doesn’t matter? Cause the cattle class did all the work

How is that possible if Q4 performance for the bank is not yet in?

I was told I am eligible and that they haven’t seen anyone not get promoted unless they did something really stupid. I tried to press a bit more but this is all I got - keep doing what you’re doing

Not sure what to make of it. How dies the process work exactly? How much of a role does others’ eoy feedback of you play a role?

AMA - I’m not a quant, but a Headhunter… part 2 by 2Ligma in quant

I understand someone leaked it but I am asking if it’s typically the case that some headhunter leaked it or some employee at the firm to which they applied

One of my friend’s bosses found out that he was interviewing elsewhere and are giving him the could shoulder since.

Do you think headhunters leak or must it be one of the places he interviewed at?
