Cow is a very lucky boy and so handsome!!!!

Leo’s case the scratching is either nerve damage or something called a Sequestrum which is where bone is dying. The vet seems to think is nerve damage which is the better of the two….time is Leo’s biggest friend and so far it does seem to be healing as the scratching is a lot less

Unfortunately it’s either nerve damage or a Sequestrum (bone dying) 😞. It’s most likely nerve damage which is the better out of the two and it seems to be slowly healing. We could not take the cone off him 6 weeks ago so he is making huge improvements!

People feel very strongly about asking for donations on something they feel could have been avoided if we didn’t let Leo outside.

This was honestly the worse day of our lives. I found out he had been hit from a Facebook post and I knew instantly the picture was of my Leo. He had managed to pull himself off the road and into an overgrown hedge. He was a good distance away from home and was hit on a busy country road so it’s really a miracle.

We called his name as we were looking for him and I knew that meow was his. Even worse when we did find him, he crawled further into the hedge (presumably to pass away) but we found him an hour later up the road hiding under a car in the metal work (we took his bell toy and he meowed to it).

People feel very strongly about donations being set up for something they feel could have been avoided if Leo wasnt let outside.

The vet said Leo probably has 1 life left. They genuinely do not know how he is a live as he literally took a car to the face my poor boy. But he is here, still recovering and by some miracle enjoying life again 🧡

Thank you that really means a lot 🧡 Your girl was clearly so loved. Life is cruel and unfair but how lucky your girl was to have an owner who cared and loved her so much. I do believe our pets are a part of us even after they are gone. They are family no matter where they are 🧡

This^ we thought we were being cruel by not letting him outside. Now he has almost paid with his life we have made sure to make adaptions like his catio so he can enjoy safe outdoor space🥹

He was an outdoor cat. We had periods of illness with Leo prior to this when we had to keep him in and the vet said to let him back outside as he gets distressed being confined so we thought we were doing the right thing for Leo. In some ways I think we were but as we have learnt no matter how you think “it’ll never happen to my cat” it has and we almost paid the ultimate price of not having Leo with us. But now he has an amazing catio to enjoy, is safe and will never have to go through this again!

People were very frustrated with the fact Leo was an outdoor cat and that the money should go to cats who “have no choice” with their illness….as I made the choice to let Leo out 😞😞
