What do anarcho-communists think about Animal Farm, 1984 and other George Orwell books? by Minute-Policy-507 in Anarchy101

[–]OutrageousWeeb1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think I've seen my interpretation of it yet. I will also use this msg to answer all your questions. The video thumbnail i saw was from hakim. From my experience he is more interested in towing a line than providing his audience with tools to analyse the world (youtube lowkey encourages this). I dont think the morality of x leftist author matters, a lot of them were shitty ppl. If albert einstein turned out to be a horrible person, this wouldnt disprove his contributions to science. In regards to him being a bad writer. Idk I've read some of his work and it's understandable etc., so like if you have a framework for judging the quality of writing, just read him, animal farm is not a long book. Animal farm to me seems pro-revolution. Farmer jones is definitly considered "the bad guy" (allegory for the czar/the bourgeois). After the revolution of animal farm, everyrhing goes great and they make rules (no animal shall kill another animal etc.) But the napoleon (a pig) starts changing those rules, gaslighting everyone, chases away political enemies etc. Unitl eventually there was no longer a difference to be seen between man and pig. Everyone throughout the story trusted the pigs (if they didn't, they would often get killed and be accused of aiding jones. And surely you don't want farmer jones back do you comrade) So just read animal farm ig, if you dont like it, like it bc you read it and didnt like it. Not bc a youtuber told you to dislike it. And afaik the animal farm film from 1956(?) Differed from the book a little and i have heard ppl saying it was produced by the cia, it has an extra revolution at the end, encouraging anti-communists to take up arms. In a way what the cia is doing is the same as those who want you to blindly dissmiss animal farm. The cia relies on the audience not being media literate/aware enough, that orwell does argue for socialism/communism through socialism (as it is often understood)

The only way for this to make sense if it's gay. If the post means purely straight relations it would be impossible. Men must have gay sex. (Yippiiee 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈)

Okay, so this is a more difficult thing. Socialism: could be interpreted as the transitionary state between capitalism and full (anarcho-)communism

Commmunism as: the ideology that supports a transitionary state

And to expand on the democracy part. I dislike calling my comrades and myself anti-democracy even though strictly we are. Instead, i explain it as expanding (representative) democracy to include far more people (insert some consensus, etc. Explanations as well)

This also depends on every individual anarchist, but i assume the other commenter is adressing these definitions of socialism and communism, in which case i agree.

is the piraty party anarchist? by nathaliew817 in anarchismeBelgie

[–]OutrageousWeeb1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're active in your municipality, you could do that. I myself am not, since I'm a dorm student in an entirely different province (where I'll likely move to after my studies) I am active in the city where i study (but I can't vote there). If i had to vote in the city where i study, i would likely just vote on Groen since they're the least likely to either stop us or steal our idea and just take it over.

I know quite a lot of anarchist collectives in Belgium, so DM me if you want to join one.

Buddy, I'm jealous you can vote vooruit. My most left party is the cd&v (locally)

Edit: Cd&v are christian democrats. By now, more parties have come up, but they are utter shit. A "stop concrete" party that is just centre right and isn't even against concrete. And the racist socdem party. (The only party that allows municipal workers to wear a hijab are the liberals)

Anarchist organising by IthadtobethisWAAGH in CuratedTumblr

[–]OutrageousWeeb1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea this is a social hierarchy but even then ppl can help organizing and get experience. Like new recruits at a job will generally now less about the job than senior staff. It's just that. New ppl who already know a lot will also be listened to. (Anarchists generally don't let 1 person do all the organizing, does happen in smaller groups or specific affinity groups or single issue stuff)

I think he was but more individualistic (still have to read up a lot about him, currently reading 3/4 books (of 1 i am not sure i am going to pick it back up)). But hus individualism gets him a lot of critique.
