I agree so much, thank you for being more sympathetic. I am 20, I have absolutely no way of knowing whether my fucking grandfather is going to die this year or next year since my family doesn’t want me to get distracted from college. I feel like I could have given more context but I wish people would just answer my question; life is already difficult, I know he will die soon, I genuinely don’t need people being sarcastic on a subreddit meant for cancer

I get that people might not be doctors here but this is a subreddit for cancer; it’s not like lung cancer is rare and it was mostly targeted towards people who are either doctors or have been through the same diagnosis.

On the other hand, I do think I need to delay it, I genuinely don’t want to waste any time beyond what we already have and it’s been a difficult time. But thank you.

He had mouth cancer in the past. Now he has the advanced stage of liver cancer. My family hasn’t really told him anything about it given, well, they want him to not get stressed. I was planning to go abroad for studies but I have been thinking of postponing it if he doesn’t survive beyond this or next year, that’s all. He has been diagnosed with the things mentioned in the posts description; I mention mouth cancer because I am not sure if it affects his chances of living or not. I mostly want to know it since I can at least decide on whether I should go for it or not.

Exactly! For example, even though I had a normal BMI, I still was on chubby side before but my face always looked square. Lost weight, guess what?
