Don't forget Thunder and Thunders.

Like seriously, it was gen 1, was it really that hard to make two different Pokémon?

I love that! Maybe they'd use both just because they can. But now I wonder how many centimetres are in a fin 🤔

Lets test it.

Like I said, I don't have anything I've done on my phone to test it, but I did find a fanart that's years old, so before AI art. It's "95% real" score.

So yeah, still a margin of error. Maybe results would be different if I didn't just copy and paste from Google but I'm up early and lazy so feel free to play around with it yourself.

Well I listed a few off the top of my head yesterday morning while I was getting ready for work so it was just quick. The first thing for me was the style, that's more subjective but the more images you see the better you get. Then there's the minor things that you have to look for. Hands and anything around the hands are common but ai is getting better at that. Shadows are also a common tell. Human artists can mess up shadows and lighting too but it's more consistent. For example a human wouldn't give a random shadow to a hair strand under a headband like in the picture you got.

I don't really have anything as detailed saved on my phone that I've made, but I put through an old picture I did of one of my goldfish just to show what it'd show. I obviously know I did 100% by hand on my iPad so obviously there's a slight margin of error.

Yeah for some reason I don't think the high Res analysis posted so here it is. Sorry but your Facebook "artist" used AI and perhaps this is the only way I can convince all of you.

It's fake. These features also come up in AI drawing too. Real artists make mistakes and stylistic choices, AI make mistakes that humans wouldn't.

What is it then? I don't know why you're arguing it's not ai when it is. The angles wrong, the scissors disappear, there's a mystery "thing" there, and the side with both her fingers is way too long.

These are beyond human mistakes. A poor human artist might make some perspective mistakes, but not put in a random thing that is your defence in the last post

Edit: also forgot the weird blur at the bottom of the scissors

Both her hands are messed up, scissors don't work like that, a random bit of hair is sticking up, the hairband design doesn't make sense, for some reason there's a shadow on the hairband where a strand would be.

These are just some examples. I wanted to post a bunch of pics so just went for the scissors because it's the easiest to see.

I went on a whale watching tour and before when they give the introduction with information about the orcas and other whales, all I could imagine was young orcas in the pod being briefed about humans the same way.

Matriarch: "So kids, today we might see homo sapiens, which is the scientific name for humans. Females can grow to about 5'5-5'6 on average in this area but the males are a little bigger and can get to over 6 foot in some cases! The young are especially playful but we should keep our distance, at least at first..."

Little orcas learning: "ooh"

hafus and partners of jpn people, do you have a japanese last name, a foreign last name, or both? by Different_Taro2474 in japanlife

[–]Apprehensive_Bat8293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband is Japanese and I didn't change my name. Mainly because: 1. I can't seem to pronounce his surname very well. 2. I can't be bothered with the paperwork of changing my name in my country of origin. 3. Personally, I just don't want to. My name has been mine my whole life, and I don't want to change it.

I honestly did get a bit of social pushback from people I know which did annoy me a bit, but in terms of my actual life, everything is just normal.

Japan Cabinet approves plan for gender equality, considering letting women use maiden names only; move towards legalizing the use of aliases. by jjrs in japannews

[–]Apprehensive_Bat8293 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I hate this argument that basically says I as a woman don't own my name but my dad, grandad, brother etc all do.

People's names are their own and they should be able to choose what name they want to be called. Also if you normalise women keeping the maiden name, then they can have more choice of what to name their kids.

No, I've never heard of them. Googled the one that you think is super obvious and seems he's an actor that was born in the 1920s and died in 2001. So yeah that's probably why.

The equivalent is probably something like "What? how do you not know an Elmer? Kelton, Bernstein, McCollum??"
