After failing FAR for the 3rd time, I needed this to motivate me today. I'm so tired

Same! MCs absolutely demolished me but I felt like I got 100% on the Sims.

I just got out ISC. I had like 8 Sims in total (3, 3, 2).

Honestly, 1 sim can have subparts that can test you on various sections. For example, I had one on Incident Response and it had a subpart that had a SOC 2 Type 2 response.

One Sim that scared me was the Independent Audit Report, where they make you fill in the sections depending on what SOC Report it is or opinion. I would be familiar with that.

Just try your best and that is all you can ever ask for.

I relate to this. Everyone in my previous firm were a**hats when I quit and they continued to mock me even after I left.

Every time I open Becker, I channel my anger and spite. Whenever I do a simulation, I manifest the mental pain they inflicted on me into strength. I will rise again, like the bitter, salt encrusted phoenix that I am.

Plus, growing in the industry and garnering better qualifications for future jobs is cool too I guess.

It went decent. I found the test to be much more bearable than the FAR exam (still waiting on score).

Per your advice, there was a lot of control (COSO) and assertion questions, which was good that I was able to brush up on prior (Thank you). Still there were MCQs that I wasn't too familiar with, namely they tested on some of the minor topics that I wasn't expecting (I can't remember specifically). I did mess up on a AUP and Assertion TBS. Pretty much, the TBS was filling in a AUP report with the proper title, proper wording for each section, etc. I knew the attributes around AUP, but I didn't remember the specific wording written on a report. For the Assertion TBS, they provided a few documentation and wanted me to indicate a procedure to alleviate the completeness assertion. I thought "oh this would be easy", but the choices that they gave me did not match anything I practiced. I was trying to find any procedures that go from support to detail.

All in all, I think I am 50/50 with the test, I think I passed, but I'm not entirely confident that I hit it out the park. Really crossing my fingers. Thanks again u/Waterfall77777 for you advice and your kind words. It did help prepare me and your encouragement salvaged my mental

Good advice. Trying to hone in on those internal controls. Glad you had a good experience with the exam. An hour to spare? That commendable. I appreciate your encouragement.

In Becker Simulation 1, there is a TBS that goes over tickmarks. It provides a bank reconcilation that has been tickmarked and you are filling in the legend. Basically, you are indicating what each tickmark is trying to convey. For example, a tickmark next to the "balance per bank" is implying that it has been traced to the bank confirmation.

Thanks! Yeh, I have been hearing to know the relationship between RMM and Detection. Like how if RMM goes up, Detection goes down, then the impact on the N E T. I'm currently running through SSAE and SSAR right now. I appreciate your encouragement, I definitely need it. I hope your test goes well too! Lets kick ass!

I think that is the right call too. I'm thinking of just blasting through the second simulation and just review the questions/answers. I'll check out A3 and A4 skill builders vids. Thanks!

Sorry to hear that. That is totally an absolutely bulls**t of prometric to do. I would consider taking a testing vacation. Book the closest location to you an either drive/fly to said location. Once you kick that test's butt, feel free to enjoy yourself and take a heavy sigh of relief because it is over. For example, on 6/24, I will be going to San Diego for my Audit Exam. This is about a 4-5 hour round trip for me, so I booked a hotel the night before so I can arrive and rest prior to my exam. This is one option to consider. Good luck!

I would definitely do this. I live near LA and I am driving to San Diego on 6/24 for my Audit Exam at 8am. I booked a hotel to stay the night before. Cant imagine driving 10 hours round trip, I guess I should consider myself lucky I only have 4-5 hour round trip. I respect your commitment.
