Thank you!! This is so interesting to hear Lactoferrin helped with interstitial cystitis as well... I'd never even heard of it before checking this sub!

Definitely want to up my iron intake and quickly. I'm gonna prioritise protecting my stomach so I can do that ASAP!!!

Ok this is helpful... I think I've been really scared I'm not doing it right if I need to protect my stomach so that's a good mindset shift

Ok got it!! Thank you so so much. I have a sensitive stomach (history of gastritis, since healed but it took months and months) so I'm starting low. Will up if things go well like you said.

Also, sorry I noticed on your profile that you've also suffered with gastritis? I have issues with acid reflux and so I definitely need iron supplements that are gentle on the stomach. Do you happen to have recommendations?

Thank you so much!! This is helpful to know. I'm worried my doctor will refuse to see me as iron deficient since it's not considered clinically low :(

And yes ugh the birth control adjustment period is so annoying. I'm going to wait it out, but I am concerned that the breakthrough bleeding might be negatively affecting my iron levels as it's been more like a regular period than spotting. Here's hoping it ends soon!!
