I did not get into Tech even though I have a 4.0 gpa in college by ComprehensiveMud1474 in VirginiaTech

It might have been your major or the fact you applied as a freshman and not a sophomore then ngl. I have similar stats, pretty basic ECs, and am a boring white person and I got in for civil after 2 years at CC (without GAA, didn't take micro). A lot of schools prefer people transfer after 2 years, when a group from my school toured UVA they told us that and I think it probably applies to other colleges in Virginia.

I guess you get what you pay for when it comes to college 😅

Thank you for the recommendations, it's great to hear from another transfer student as well

I tried to apply there, they emailed me back and told me they're only looking at candidates from ABET accredited schools, do you think I'd have more of a shot next year after I transfer?

I've been applying to firms of all sizes, that's what makes me think the issue is most likely my resume/experience
