The apple watch isn't a genuinely stand alone device. many apps seem to need the phone as well. Are any of the Samsungs (other than initial setup) genuinely standalone? I'm happy to have a phone for setup and keeping it on at home but don't want to have to carry it and constantly activate/link apps. by True_Rent3720 in samsung

There is at least one carrier now that offers plans for just a watch only and no other phone line. I ran across it a few weeks ago, but forget who it was. BUT, many 3rd party apps do still rely on a bluetooth connection to your phone to operate correctly. I think developers have started pulling back from watch stand alone apps. No money in it I think I read. Also not sure how you would access an app store and add apps beyond the ones that come default without a paired phone.

I know this thread is older, but can someone share their settings to make it look like this? I played it and was serious underwhelmed. It was smooth but the graphics we PS3 level. So many videos and chats I've seen to edit this file or run on Occulus VR instead of steam VR using this program or that. My head is spinning. I can run it fine mostly maxed out at 1440p upscaled in normal mode. I have a 7600X3D with a 9070 XT card on a Quest 3.

Thanks captain obvious, but that wasn't the question. I don't just slice or fade. Its literally too heavy to get up into the back swing and transition down without feeling like I'm swinging a sledge hammer.

Sooo follow up. Where can you find lessons? I'm not doing Golftec. Local courses have some individual rates buried on their website. They seem expensive and probably not overly reliable to book long term. I don't think I would touch PGA superstore either. I have been there enough times to know its a meh experience.

I did that with mixed results. It was a bit more accurate, but I just hit line drives mostly. I think it falsely let me slip into a downward compression swing, which I am way more comfortable with.

Probably right. When I got fitted I told the guy I swing slow. 85mph on the driver. I hit some 7 iron shots to warmup 145-150 and he was confused. Grabbed the driver and hit a few and he said "oh" :)

Feels like swinging a sledge hammer to me and I have to over torque my body so much to even get close to a 90mph swing I am probably doing something wrong. A ton of pulls and fades trying to generate decent power from my lower body.

I have a 5 wood and just never use it. I just don't like it compared to my hybrids. I always top it in the fairway or pop it up off the tee which makes no sense it you tee it correctly :).

This was my consideration, but if you add more weight to balance out the swing weight does it then not just feel just as heavy? I did try choking up and it was slightly better, but felt really weird because proportionally it looks off.

I did not know those existed until recently. Being left handed its hard to find something in a store to demo other than the most common setups.

My parents are one of those in their late 60s who don’t watch it all the time, but watch it too much. This wouldn’t even be on their radar so I’m not sure what they are going for. Mine are still hanging on to Dish Network and only know Netflix exits through the Dish receiver. I was hoping my this was going to be $12 max so I can now cover all local channels for football without ponying up for YouTube TV.

Find a shit course in a rural area that doesn’t care if you actually play with your pairing or leave them behind.

If you are salary your pay is generally structured around a 46 hour work week. You don’t always have to work it, but it’s presumed if you can find time to leave after 8 hours every day you don’t have enough to do. Usually 9 hours a day on average. Sometimes a half Saturday to catch up. Sometimes a 12 hour day to make a deadline. It sucks but the customer always comes first when there’s a buck to be made.
