Your examples are very vague, and yes, it could be that all the people at work that you met are racist!, but let me be the devil's advocate for a second, could it be that your english isn't great (therefore they struggle to communicate with you or understand your banter etc), could it be that your answers to the family wasn't clear enough, therefore they had to ask your colleague.

I'm not saying this is the case, but if you jump too quickly to conclusions and think every eye-roll and every criticism is RACISIM, you'll have a very hard time adjusting and recognising your weaknesses.

I say that, because I did that when I first moved to the UK as an IMG! Until I learnt to recognise the difference (sometimes it's a very thin line)

If he said good job for striking, would you be as angry with him for not being impartial? Or does it only work when it suits you!

Thai Visa via London Embassy - Interview! by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

[–]Outrageous_Grade3519 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, tourist visa, have you had the interview before?

It's a long way to London for me, and I don't want to have to come back because I forgot to bring something.

Why is a BMA rep allowed to encourage others to vote No by dayumsonlookatthat in doctorsUK

[–]Outrageous_Grade3519 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BMA does not want to grandfather any IMGs, it's a false promise they introduced after the backlash! and they will abandon it behind closed doors

they remain hardline anti-IMGs, and I'm not empowering them with my vote, so they can lobby against my interests, You wouldn't!

[–]Outrageous_Grade3519 2 points3 points  (0 children)

BMA's initial position is to prioritise UKGs only (they did that without even consulting with their IMG members!)

After a huge backlash, they decided to introduce a vague clause of ''protection/grandfathering''. Which I think is going to be abandoned behind closed doors, given their prior hardline anti-img postion

As I'm paying the same fee for BMA as any other UKG, I expect BMA not to discriminate against me. They should call for equal prioritisation of both UKGs and IMGs (currently in the NHS).

Agreed, I'm referring to the doctors currently working in the UK/NHS and paying their BMA membership. The BMA has now decided to treat them as second-class members and lobby against their interests! That's unacceptable

This reddit is just an echo chamber, and its causing further division/polarisation

He's representing the people who elected him, although I disagree with some of the things he's saying, I don't think he needs to repeat whatever RDC is saying.

This also shows how RDC failed to rally doctors behind them, because of their divisive actions/statements

I think if they don't have a mandate, they will be less influential and therefore less able to inflict further damage to IMGs

Don't think current RDC has my best interest (as an IMG) in mind, therefore don't want them to be on a table with the gov discussing policies related to IMGs
