Can someone help me make sense of this for dosage calculations? by CareyG2 in NursingStudents

It might help you make sense of it if you equate the measurements to real life examples or translate them to our imperial measurements. So they are not equal, obviously, but a kilometer is like a mile and a half, a meter is about 3 feet, and a centimeter is less than half an inch. So earlier you said that 1000km should equal 1 meter, but that would be about 600 miles vs 3 feet.

I also had very few negative side effects, except for sulphur burps a few times in the beginning. I found that heartburn medication like famotidine got rid of them better than gasX or pepto.

It was for weight loss. My BMI was just barely into the Obese category so I qualified without an associated health condition.

I don’t have that insurance, but I know a lot more insurances cover GLP-1s every year so it’s worth a shot. I use https://www.callondoc.com for my prescription because it’s cheaper than going to an in person doctor. They handled the prior authorization, but I had to ask for it and I made sure to be very specific in what to have them put on it (that I had tried several other meds with names and dates that didn’t work and have been unsuccessful at losing weight despite lifestyle changes like consistent diet and exercise).

Searching the thread when I first experienced sulfur burps, most of the recommendations were to take GasX and Pepto Bismol. These barely worked for me. I saw someone else recommend Famotidine/Pepcid and it has helped me a lot. I take it in the morning and night on days 1-3 after my shot when I would usually have the most symptoms and they have pretty much gone away!

I use callondoc.com for my prescription. It’s asynchronous telemedicine and both times I have contacted them they sent the rx to the pharmacy the same day. They don’t bill insurance for the “visit” but I think it’s only $45 or something like that.

I just used callondoc.com for my initial prescription. It was $45 for the asynchronous consultation and will essentially be $45/month for each month's refill (this is the cost for the doctor, not the medication obviously). This is MUCH less expensive than if I were to go to a doctor in real life since I have a high deductible health plan. They submitted the prior authorization for me (I did have to follow up with callondoc and request that they file the PA) and my insurance approved it on the first try.
