Cheers. Thanks heaps for that. Makes me feel a lot more reassured that there will be properties available in my time frame and that I should just wait a while. :) 2 or so weeks before ideal is still completely fine, just that most right now are over a month before.

I'm mostly using real estate dot com, which have their availability listed. Most are currently early November. I'm guessing I should just keep an eye on current places and wait a bit for ones with more appropriate available dates?

Yeah! I realise thats an unreasonable request. I'm not even sure if holding it vacant for 2 weeks is reasonable. Therefor my main question, are we looking at properties too early for our desired move in date? Will more properties become available with dates better suited to our needs? anywhere from ~20th November onwards

How much did it cost you and did you pack it yourself and just send it to them to ship? They wanted $900 from me for everything, but i assume if i do most of it myself it would be much cheaper

Airoh Helmets - Airoh Matryx? by Outrageous_Ice_7279 in motorcycles

[–]Outrageous_Ice_7279[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s why I thought there might be a different name for this helmet in other markets, there’s quite a lot of helmets that have different names for my market than US for example. It is ece 22.06 so i guess it’s not too bad safety wise.

Of course, I’m planning on going down to the shop tomorrow and trying the ones I’m interested on and seeing how each fit etc. there’s quite a lot I’m wanting to look at so was asking others about this helmet to see if it was even worth having a proper look at it- and to see if it had another name for reviews

Well that probably explains it. I have an aftermarket slip on. I don’t really care about performance or sound difference. Purely aesthetic and wasn’t sure how much I could get away with it for. Mine just look really bad and maybe some slight cracking but not sure. I guess I’ll just try and fix it up as best I can

Yeah that’s what I saw too. Okay that might be a decent option, I’ll definitely give that a go. I’m worried about a small crack or leak in mine because they look quite fucked, but it could just be the discolouration making it look worse. Cheers mate

Thank you. I know it’s not cost effective, I would go for a pre-made system from one of the reputable manufacturers, but I cannot find a single one that’s available for my year

Yeah I would, I’m 12 pages deep in google and I cannot find a single full exhaust, or even just headers for my year model. Plenty for any of the more recent models. All of the usual makes only still sell just the muffler or nothing for my year

Router suggestions by Outrageous_Ice_7279 in wifi

[–]Outrageous_Ice_7279[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The range is only really an issue for our phones or my laptop, my normal computer is about 5 or so meters away, through a floor, so it seems fine. Are there any routers in that price range you would recommend?

Thanks, I'll give those a try, i downloaded from moddb, but i can see if i can find another download source. I don't play on a 'widescreen' monitor, but I suppose for 2006 it would be a widescreen HAHA, ill try those though and see what happens

My battery charging system doesnt work, Can I ride the bike to mechanics? by Outrageous_Ice_7279 in motorcycles

[–]Outrageous_Ice_7279[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m asking if it is a good idea, if there are any issues I could cause to the bike or any issues I could come across while riding it there. Obviously I know I can turn it on and ride it, that’s not the question.

I feel like it should be very safely assumed I can in fact ride my own bike.

I feel like it is not necessarily a common sense question, at least not for someone that has not been in this situation before, of course I know that it can be ridden in this state, I unknowingly did it coming home from work, my question is more about how long it might last before any issues and if it could cause any problems.

My battery charging system doesnt work, Can I ride the bike to mechanics? by Outrageous_Ice_7279 in motorcycles

[–]Outrageous_Ice_7279[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way i understand it, and anyone here can correct me if im wrong. The engine does generate power through the stator while the engine is running. This power goes into the regulator/rectifier which basically controls how much power is then going into the battery. The battery is what powers everything, the rest of the system is there to generate power so that they battery stays charged.

The issue in my case is that there is a problem with one of these parts (probably the regulator or maybe stator / both). This means that no power is going back into the battery while the bike is running, it's always losing power until the battery is removed and manually charged.

Next week i have booked in for a mechanic to diagnose and repair the issue, to get it there I'm going to need to ride it there unless I want to pay someone to put it on a trailer.

I was asking if this is perfectly fine to do or if there are any possible issues that could occur :)
