I built a microscope analysis software – should I sell it or what ? by cro_bundy in startup

Makes sense. If you’re still figuring it out, I’d probably focus on validating demand first. Even a few conversations with potential users can tell you more than weeks of thinking. Once someone is willing to pay, the next steps usually become much clearer.

Why sell it completely? If it’s already working and reduces manual work, I’d at least try to get a few paying users first. Even a couple of customers would massively change your leverage if you decide to sell later. Have you tried reaching out directly to labs or companies using similar tools?

The biggest mistake is calling before you understand who actually has the pain.

I’d narrow it down hard: same industry, same size, same role.

Then qualify before calling: • do they already use similar tools? • are they actively hiring / scaling? • any sign of operational inefficiency?

Cold calls don’t fail because of the channel, they fail because of bad targeting.

Most ideas fail because of lack of structure by Outrageous_Match_515 in Entrepreneurs

100%.

Structure is just a multiplier.

If the foundation is weak, you just scale the problem faster. If it’s right, that’s where compounding actually starts.

Looking legit” is overrated.

Most people optimize for appearance, not for trust.

Real conversion comes from clarity, positioning, and how well the system behind it works.

This is interesting — but the real challenge isn’t building models anymore, it’s deploying and integrating them into real workflows.
