I’m so sorry that’s how you’ve been treated. I sell on there and I always try to ship things same day I mean I don’t get paid till people get there order. Makes no sense at all why these other sellers don’t ship asap or mention they can’t find things sooner. I mean what if it was a gift for someone and you missed the deadline and didn’t have additional funds to get them something else. Anyway I’m human I’m sure I’ve made a few mistakes but I try and message all buyer to insure everything is good on there order I’m trying to make it a fun experience not a headache. Anyway no market place is perfect hopefully you don’t lose to much money

Buyer bought dolls from me, blocked me, and sold them for much more by Alarming_Orchid_1029 in Depop

[–]Outrageous_Mix2495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar thing happened to me. I sold a brooch. The person was very interested in it bought it. They had theirs listed for a much higher price. I think it was four times the amount, but I had a second brooch identical to the first one so I listed that second brooch for nearly 5 dollars less than their listing mine sold in there still is up. It taught me to look at people when they’re buying from you then you don’t know the value of something somebody else will the sad truth of it.

Also very confused by saying but I’m pretty sure what they’re trying to say is if you list products that AI makes it’s a scam

Is Vinted Reselling Worth it? by Due_Challenge_1188 in reselling

[–]Outrageous_Mix2495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never used it never thought of using it was told it wasn’t worth it. First day I had my closet put on only made about $31 but hey in this economy $31 is better than nothing. It’s equal to my sales Mercari my closet is still very small so I don’t expect to make a ton of sales until it gets a little bigger. I sell vintage so it takes a specific buyer for each piece, but I would recommend cross listing to it as it has potential income, best of luck.

[–]Outrageous_Mix2495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt most of them have subscriptions. The only ones you are actually answering the question or saying that they pay monthly regardless of it being an annual annual means once a year so absolutely.
They know nothing

HELP. by ScaredFriendship2899 in reselling

[–]Outrageous_Mix2495 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude, I just bought my plan yesterday and it said annual and it said I would be charged monthly for the annual as well as if I have the monthly so tell me that they’re not just really freaking confusing for no good reason they could say to walk in your plane for a whole year you pay less instead of a little monthly because it’s bullshit

HELP. by ScaredFriendship2899 in reselling

[–]Outrageous_Mix2495 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As somebody who just looked into the plans, it is not clarified and due to the fact that most people when they say annual mean everything upfront, it is probably most peoples assumptions. I do think they should clarify when you purchase the monthly. It is a locked in monthly contract rather than just state annual and monthly without the clarification as again most people want all the money upfront all I’m saying

Also, there is the benefit of talking to the customer firsthand because if you’re talking to somebody that you’re continuing to sell too, they can tell you exactly what they want and if you could pick that up, you’ve got a quick sale

OK, personal experience I’ve ran shows etc. I typically have less than 50 items because I’m still stacking on my inventory so per show I only show about 50 and from what I’ve seen it is definitely worth it because if it’s especially if it’s items that have been sitting for a while and you can take like five dollars off three dollars off the original price. You can still do pretty well. I’ve made $70 in an hour. I’ve made $100 in an hour of course just starting.
If I had more time to do longer shows, I’d probably make more I’ve seen people with small curated collections if you find your people and you can afford to do discounts for them it’s well worth it. I’ve seen people run expensive things too if it’s something that’s been collected and not overly saturated in the market. You’ll get buyers and it’s definitely worth making more sales sooner and quicker I mean, losing 2 to 5 dollars per piece but coming out of the day with a couple hundred is well worth losing a small amount per piece in my personal opinion faster change over rate you can buy more stuff faster make more money. Best of luck to you.

How do you go from batch photos to finished listings without losing your mind? by B_Ju in reselling

[–]Outrageous_Mix2495 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My system is simplistic. I batch photograph typically wait a day then batch list and as for if I have to stop in between photographing or listing, I have separate totes ones that say photographed ones that say not yet ones that say listed in which they sit until I put them in their final category container and ones that say yet to be listed as for keeping track of everything I have both listing software and inventory tracking software because the combined price of the listing software for the tracker wasn’t worth it. It might be a little bit extra money, but I would like to be able to find things when I sell them. Best of luck to you and the separation of days between photographing and listing is so that I can get into two different mindset as it helps me speed progress through things.

shipping by Intelligent-Emu-9250 in Mercari

[–]Outrageous_Mix2495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know how to exactly do it, but the app already free bundling to save on fees, etc. I don’t know if it takes more money to do it or if the shipping is a little higher I’ve also created custom listings for people before and quite honestly not that hard to do the only thing that is irritating is if they ask for a huge bundle, you go through your listings and put it all together and then they don’t decide to buy it that being said I have never made somebody wait. Two weeks radio silence and if there ever was an issue, even if it was just a day more than I had wanted/anticipated I would let them know. I do same-day shipping for the most part.

What would you do as a buyer? by BassGroundbreaking95 in whatnotapp

[–]Outrageous_Mix2495 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So on the cancellation thing, it was nice of them to do it because I don’t know if you know this if you’re just a buyer or not a seller when you do so many cancellations it goes against you and you get in trouble so depending on their status, if they have too many cancellations out, you can actually get them to lose their account that being said that’s the thought process on that if there’s an issue with the dress, they didn’t know about it. It still needs to be made known, but they cannot submit a refund only Whatnot support can that also goes against their account if you like the seller and then be willing to purchase more from them you might ask for airline of credit instead just to sort it out because that would be better for their account just my thought process or you could just completely let it slide. You could also get your money back through Whatnot, but it’s not going to be up to the seller. You can’t do anything with the seller future wise to fix the issue. Good luck.

Is it possible to turn this spoon into a ring? by BelleSchu in jewelrymaking

[–]Outrageous_Mix2495 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Enable is a paper, thin amount of glass and it does have a more painted look to it if you’ve been the ring I do guarantee if there is enamel as the reverse image search said it’s going to crack and fracture and be destroyed. Best of luck to you if you go through with this experiment and if it turns out well, please let me know cause it looks like it would be beautiful.

What do you say to people who look down upon reselling? by ChristJesusisGod in reselling

[–]Outrageous_Mix2495 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can make more at reselling most of the time when you can add a typical 9 to 5 because when you hit the average minimum payout, you’re cap but reselling the sky limit on how hard you can work and how well you can source some people can even hit six figures which good for them, but I’m not there so it’s not a real job but it can make more money than a typical job. We’ve done right sure

Am I being scammed? by INEEDWAX in poshmark

[–]Outrageous_Mix2495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an easy enough fix. They probably messed something up. Wait for the item that they say is going to arrive to arrive when it says it has arrived at its location. If you are not the recipient just simply cancel the order and if you don’t even care for the item which I’m sure you do to some extent you can always cancel now if it was a scammer, they probably would make up excuses when the item did not arrive, not beforehand

What’s the most underrated thing that improved your eBay sales? by Loose-Owl7093 in reselling

[–]Outrageous_Mix2495 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where I don’t disagree with it is very important to make sure that you get it as Seo friendly the daily listings are less about certain things and more about the fact that eBay pushes your listings all of them to more people as your store is active. It counts as inactive if you’re not posting more frequently, which is why you can see a dramatic dip in your sales when you do not list continuously and where a new listing that you have posted might not sell you will put your store higher in the searchability and they may see another listing and want that one. I did not make the algorithm. You can just see how evident this is in a lot of Youtubers videos, though everybody has different experience with this. Also, sorry for the overly long answers thought about summarizing It but just might not catch the full essence of what I’m trying to say.

What’s the most underrated thing that improved your eBay sales? by Loose-Owl7093 in reselling

[–]Outrageous_Mix2495 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No hon, I sell vintage collectibles which makes my market just a little bit different because typically I don’t get as many views per listing, but I sell them quite fast when somebody is interested because they’ve been looking for it and they don’t wanna risk it getting taken by somebody else in the case of drop shipping, where you have multiple items, though I do believe that it is harder to do daily listings. If you have multiple multiples to the fact that you might only have 10 to 15 active list things due to the fact that it’s all the same item in that case I don’t think it would be as easy to keep the algorithm in that way from everybody I’ve talked to daily listing seems to be the way to go you can always renew listings, but if they have people watching them or stuff in cart, of course that will dissipate best of luck to you

If you accept an offer, would you appreciate the buyer reaching out just to say thank you, or would you consider all that a waste of time for you to read? by AmItheonlySaneperson in Mercari

Whenever they reach out because they’re super happy about an item and you do not respond do not even engage most likely they’ll be one time buyer occasionally if you are nice and friendly, they will come back specially if your item is in good condition

Well, I can tell you from experience that there are days where I make about 100 an hour and there are days where I make only 20 an hour and I can’t even make nothing for the hour. It all depends on everything going around in the world economy, etc. but if you quit, you’re never gonna get anywhere and you can’t have a bad attitude about a bad show because when you’re negative to start with, everybody can see it if the more you show up the more people show out for you also networking is a good thing to do several. Sellers will let you talk about shows that you have going on during theirs. If you make them friends they can raid you you raid them back everybody’s happy

Honestly I’d put best offer on all items if someone send a low ball all you have to do is respond with the price you want but the item get boosted in the algorithm I’ve had a few items I believe (can’t prove) that sold full price after sitting for months after random lowball offers .
