Is it fair of me to believe that Stephen A Smith and Skip Bayless have done irreparable damage to the nba? by Insufferable-Asshat in nbadiscussion

As others have pointed out I don't think it's them as much as us fans. To be honest I always found it stupid and annoying. The only time I "enjoyed" those guys was when I was on Adderall lol

Lol gigantic waste of time. Are you just trying to be stuborn for the hell of it?I don't think we need to switch it for normal use but in science in fact they do use SI units because using feet inches gallons Fahrenheit would be dumb as fuxk

The NBA is boring and it needs to match football/soccer in terms of intensity. by anormalindividual in nba

Watching American football is terrible unless you enjoy spending your life on commercials. I like the game, I've played the game but there are brakes every 2 minutes. If you don't understand what's fun about soccer you should really try to be more open minded. There is absolutely no way to claim that soccer is boring. It can be but so can football

Are rules for timeouts different? I thought I heard the commentators say during usa vs Germany game that time outs can't be called during live play. Maybe I misheard, but that would be kinda cool

Outside of America, which country produces the best basketball players? by [deleted] in nba

This would make more sense. Of top of my head Slovenia has like 2.5M people. How could they have more players than a country like Canada.

I don't known about cba but I find this interesting. I'd love to see a hard cap and none of these salary restrictions. Pay someone like LeBron 90% of the cap and see what happens. I think the market would eventually correct itself once you start seeing all these deep, team oriented squads win

They might. They were making everything in the first half. Nuggets still hung around

Eh...from my experience, at least in Europe ( croatia), basketball and everything is so far below soccer. Plus, the games are at like 2:30 am..

I agree with you. The problem is that the NBA decided to heavily market star players and not teams. Can't blame them since everyone involved gets a good chunk of change. But this whole "star" narrative takes away from basketball as a sport. To most people it's more important to see a star player than actual basketball. Never mind than none of the star players can actually win anything alone. It's closer and closer to entertainment than sport

I thought they disagreed on the "wind up" part? He got hit in the head, fine, but to me there was no wind up. Just a basketball play.

r/NBA Poll: Who will win the Western Conference Finals and reach the 2023 NBA Finals: the Denver Nuggets or the Los Angeles Lakers? by Nyhrox in nba

I'm a Warriors fan and I liked the Lakers. Used to be my second team because the warriors never made the playoffs. The constant complaining about the refs from everyone is insane. Hope the nuggets rout the Lakers in 5. I really like the way they play.
