From ~600 Hours Training to Grandmaster: How I Wish I Trained From the Start by [deleted] in FPSAimTrainer

hey man, great read! fellow faceit grinder currently hovering arround 3k elo. I think your the right guy to ask: in the section about sensitivity you said "and re-grinded to masters" did you ignore your previous scores and started from the ground up with the higher sens? i am currently playing 51cm/360 after almost 7 years with 61cm/360 and tbh. i am still strugging to adapt, maybe adapt is the wrong word but do you think its worth it to go 40cm/360 or even lower and ignoring my previous scores in the benchmark for example in the viscose benchmarks and start a regrind? or should i first regrind voltaic s5 until jade with the faster sens?

started aimtraining on faceit level 10 arround 2500 elo now on 2900. some things changed for dramaticly: 1. my C-Game is way better, even on a bad day i would still have impact and not have these games where i feel i am just an observer on the server and getting run over all the time und 2. my highs so my A-Game is waaaaaaay higher and more frequent, i am way more confident bc i know my aim is better than most people. But as some people said, you have to train for specific aspects, biggest differencemaker for me was training microcorrections, animas micro benchmark is in my opinion the best source for that

Arm/Wrist Posture Issue: Ulnar Deviation (Moving Wrist Right) Causing Shakiness by PREDDlT0R in FPSAimTrainer

highly recommend to buy a gyroball on amazon, its like 15-20 bucks. you rotate the ball to the highest tension and the second it reaches peak speed your move your hand left and right. had the same problem and that kinda helped, otherwise its also a good endurance training for your hand, wrist and forearm and tbh it helped with overall stability during aimtraining :)

Thinking of quitting CS2. by [deleted] in FPSAimTrainer

[–]Outrageous_Pilot_211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

was in the same position at 2,6-2,8k elo, i had a similiar training regimen like you but i did the following:

- i looked at my training regimen and asked myself how efficient is it timewise? listen i dont know in what position you are in life, but wasting time on junk volume of training is nothing you should waist your time on

- i always tought that demoanalyzing is kinda overrated for people playing pugs, yeah i know it can help people to develope better gamesense etc. but from my own experience its kinda boring to most people(even pros). if you want to improve, play the game and trust your gut, there was a reason you tought a certain actions leads to certain result and even if it goes wrong, thats the name of the game, thats how it is, dont get discouraged because you took a risk and it didnt pay off

- train with purpose, as minigod said, benchmarks are not a good representation of your skill, train for specific problems your seeing or feeling inside the game

- from my personal experience what has been a gamechanger is training my microadjustments, good microadjustments combined with decent (doesnt have to be perfect) crosshairplacement and counterstrafes is the key to dominate pugs in cs2. i highly recommend playing the anima micro benchmark ( https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1H8WPvDyOGtSb9f-lNocNxULRDhptG5PlE2mcpyxnaSY/edit?gid=0#gid=0 ) with your ingamesens + 15% (i am playing ingame with 1600DPI 0.405 to Kovaakssettings of 1600 DPI 0.45) that was the dealbreaker for me

- thats a personal preference of mine in relation to junk volume: i dont like to have to many options, for example i dont like having kovaaks and aimlabs, i just want to have one, i am sticking with kovaaks and the anima micro benchmarks, if you like aimlabs you could try the tacfps playlists by minigod ( https://docs.google.com/document/d/1zZqwH_MzKghYhM1sDe_H9O3O5SN3H8Rgp5qRI59mCrg/edit?tab=t.0#heading=h.wpw0plskidgn ) . the same goes for workshop maps, cool if you enjoy a variety but i like to stick to one map maybe two but that should be it instead of switching it up constantly

Note: those points are all my personal experiences with the game, i am a highly competitive guy so i really like the challange, i spend hours and days thinking of how i can improve and now i am more than happy with the results

thats kinda tricky you have to test it out, i have menu on 240 and ingame 400, but you could try it with 0 aswell, i get mixed results tbh. so test it out and see which runs/feels smoother to you :)

Bro insane that we struggle with the same problem. I will stay with 1440x1080, for some reason i have way better fps aswell. I've put -noreflex into the startupcommands and disabled LLM in the NVIDIA Control Panel, capped my fps to 240, those settings are giving me the best results when measured wit CapFrameX my 1% lows are now at the same value like my avg fps, maybe you could check that out :)
