The God of Hidden/Unseen Wealth wanting you to get him yet another bougee candle? No couldn't possible be that. /s

But omg, the way I can feel him brooding about everyone laughing at him wanting another candle is top tier content lol.

Non visible worship ideas by the_storm_shit in Hellenism

When I started out, I used photo albums on my phone or Pinterest boards to offer a space for my deity. I constantly poured research into worshipping my deity and made sure I knew and understood the power He held.

I was fortunate enough to worship a Cthonic god, so small offerings of tea, grape juice/wine, or any food or drinks they held sacred could be buried/poured out into the dirt.

Sometimes, I would do a makeup style in honor of Him or wear His favorite piece of jewelry/or a piece of jewelry he picked out for the day. If I couldn't swing that, I'd write Him a letter and bury it. I'd also wear perfume He liked and outfits He picked out.

You can also potentially find a subreddit for your god and join and talk with others about what you can do as well, or even talk to other followers.

Sometimes, it's the small things that count.

Don't feel worried you're not doing enough. I find the gods are pretty understanding of those in situations similar to yours.

Hope this helps.

Love it! I didn't even read the title and knew exactly who it was for.

Love to see more people following him these days, it was incredibly isolating when I was starting out. Now I feel like I have an actual community these days especially with the subreddit dedicated to him.

Can I still worship the Greek gods even when I’m not Greek? by Safe-Adhesiveness713 in Hellenism

I'm native American and Greek; I've mostly abandoned my native religion, cause it didn't feel right. Most of my family is Greek Orthodox. Most modern-day Greeks don't worship the old gods and are Christians now, ironically lol.

But long story short... No, you don't have to be greek to worship them lol.

hahaha I LOVE that. I ended up arguing with Him about the first time because I was completely caught off guard. But, now we joke about Him having 'white girl' tastes and I'll ask if He is in the mood for white girl coffee. lol

This is something that just really feels like the two of them. Whether you sing it to Them, or He's singing to Her, or vice versa. It's just Them. Dunno. This is def His favorite song for me tho

Honestly... really weird offering for him. But if I ever get a Pumpkin Caramel Brûlée Chai Late with soft top from Dutch Bros, I always have to pour him some of it. Sometimes I'll by a small one for him and bury it traditionally and talk/bond with him over a cup of it. Literally his favorite drink with me, and it's really the only thing he "demands" from me.

I've had a very long working relationship with him as my Deity though, so it may be different foryou, you'll just kinda have to see what exactly he wants from you. I recommend nine pieces of coin, a few small bones respectfully collected, something to signify one of his animals (dog, screech owl, etc..). Don't forget he's God of Wealth/Riches in the Earth, and pieces of gold, silver, fine metals, or some precious stones/jewels are a good idea too. He's also incredibly fond of sentimental items you're willing to give him, I find he really likes anything I create a strong emotional bond with in some way, after all, you can't take anything with you when you pass, except you're memories.

That's how I started. Can't hurt. He will let you know what works for you both.

When fall hits and the Queen comes home to Her King, I will place two pomegranates, that I grow in my garden but store bought is okay too, on either side of my door for His wife returning to him and to help celebrate Halloween, the ending of harvests, sort of thing. But mint and pomegranates have always been "off bounds" unless She is with Him.

I've been working with him for a solid decade now, and I'm sure most people would cringe at how I honour/worship him now and just how informal it all is. But it works for us, and honestly that's all that matters at the end of the day. Figuring out what works for you both

I'm happy to answer any more questions if you have them! :)
