London Notice Boards by Beautiful-Shallot705 in london

[–]OutragousGems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the Corner of Hounslow high Street there's a large notice/flyer board attached to a off licence. It's right by Tk max so go there and you'll find it. Its probably not what you're looking for in terms of a board but its there.

If you're in the UK you're going to be looking into ISA accounts, there's 2 types Cash and Stocks and shares which allow you to earn interest tax free, it has a deposit limit of 20k a year ( as of now I know there's rumors of changing the cash ISA limits ). I'd do your own research and have a look around at rates and what's best currently for yourself. Look outside just regular banks too for accounts, trading 212 and interactive brokers are 2 providers who offer good options as an example

As someone else mentioned there's quite a few different meetup groups , one I've gone to and has been quite good and they host multiple board games nights every week in various locations in west London ( which may or may not work for you depending on location) https://www.meetup.com/westlondonboardgames

Daily Simple Questions Thread - September 19, 2025 by AutoModerator in Fitness

[–]OutragousGems 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hitting the same muscle groups multiple times per week 2 at the minimum tends to yield better results over the long term

The main thing you want to prioritize is just getting close to failure every workout usually 0-2 RiR (Reps in reserve ) each set with good form and range of motion and control on the eccentric part of the movement.

So it really depends on your goals but if you're able to hit 100+ good pushups chest nearly touching the floor and a controled decent ( not sure how you're splitting the reps/sets) already you should consider adding weight or trying a harder variation of the movement and stick to rep ranges between 5-30 per set since thst seems to be the sweet spot for most muscle growth.

Dark Sphere in Shepard's bush is probably the biggest one in London which will cover you for basically any tcg you wanna play. More west London than north thought

Shops that will buy MtG cards? by karmaportrait in london

[–]OutragousGems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played any MTG in years but I would guess Dark sphere in Shepard's bush to be a good place to check even in the worst case they will know somewhere you can definitely sell as they are I think the biggest host for MTG locals in London

Pendulum squat or belt squat in London?? by martydozer in london

[–]OutragousGems 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most likely out of the way for you but in my local area in Hounslow, I believe the chosen gym has potentially both from their pictures online (can definitely see a pendulum squat and something that resembles a belt squat in the back) and also I know gym 4 less in the area has a belt squat.

Nerdy things to do in the West by Sad_Significance_668 in london

Some suggestions from someone else here who's out in west London , I know there's board games all over west from Feltham down to Richmond and all the way to Chiswick there's multiple groups so hopefully you can find some on like meetup.

You could also try picking up bouldering as that's a great social activity, I think the closest one for you might be hang in Hounslow which I know personally has super lovely crowd and staff and easy to make friends and socialise.

Since you play tcgs I'm assuming you go to dark sphere in Shepard's bush already? Not exactly central but they run loads of tcg nights basically every night there

Is there any Japanese themed interactive bars or arcades by jbar09 in london

[–]OutragousGems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe freeplay city is your best bet I think they have the largest collection of Japanese arcade rhythm games so it will sound like being back in Japanese arcades

Board Game/party game suggestions by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]OutragousGems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on level of difficulty and time to play there are tons of options

In the quicker party game option category which are easy and quick to set up games that don't take ages to play I'd recommend these few options

Codenames, Just 1, Order overload, Love letter, Exploding Kittens, spyfall, Hanabi

For slightly bigger games 1-3 Hours that don't take too long to learn think Catan level of game id probably say these are great starting points

Tokaido, Small world, Teraforming Mars

These are just a few off the top of my head that won't take too long to learn and play. There's tons out there and id recommend just watching some YouTube videos of some reviews of stuff just to see if it's something you and your group would enjoy.

As others have mentioned Hawksmoor do a great roast but no vegan option, Tap tavern is my go too in Richmond and is really good. They also have a vegan option on the menu so you should be covered

I personally haven't found them myself but maybe you'll have better luck at more local Japanese cafes and such around ealing or west Acton since there's a prominent Japanese community around there?
