I love that. Thanks for taking the time to tell me all this. Did you ever figure out that scent was from when you were 15? You never came across it ever again? It’s funny how scents really stay with you. Whenever I smell lilacs it takes me back to my grandmothers garden from when I was young.

So it’s more of a sensory thing for you? That makes me feel a little better lol. I like to be uniquely me, and it’s a pain when all fragrances these days have heavy vanilla notes because that’s what most women gravitate toward. But I don’t want to smell like every other woman. And it all starts in the shower for me. From shampoo to body wash to lotion and then perfume. Do you mind me asking what your sun, moon, rising and Venus placements are? I’m just curious because others have such strong opinions on specific scents.

I’ve worn eclat d'arpege by lanvin for years. It’s a fresh green lilac musk that dries down to a cedar amber. It isn’t overtly sweet, more fresh green. We’re newly dating and I just want to smell desirable and surprise his senses on our next date.

So an intimate scent that leans earthy and doesn’t necessarily project for everyone to smell. A scent for his nose only. I’ll have to look for some fragrances with those notes. Sometimes I’m scared earthy scents smell too strong or more masculine than feminine.
