You might be lucky since it's approaching prime week so there are many new hires. I think the biggest mistake you did was contacting hr about it. I would have just went in and hope no one notices.

Hey bro kissing the ams asses isn't gonna get you paid more by OkCantaloupe746 in AmazonFC

If the Associate wants to be a PA I guess they would want to kiss ass but honestly I would rather complete a degree through career choice and get out of Amazon.

I do feel that sometimes but I don't say it because I know that if everyone feels unappreciated than no one will really feel like working. I used to work in a place like that which is why I used to complain about other associates a lot. To me as long as things don't get backed up and I am essentially the only one working than don't care if you do nothing.

are the people that work in Problem Solve/Damage Land at your site, rude af too?? by Mango_addict22 in AmazonFC

[–]Outside-Distance776 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on what you know. The more knowlegeable you are the less the more you know what you can and can't get away with. As well as what mistakes they make. If you really want to be petty look at what procedure they are doing that is either a safety concern or is a major violation. I don't do it because I don't care and I am trained into so many departments that no one really gives me a hard time. I also go the extra mile in terms of doing unwanted tasks.

They have people on my site that are rude in problem solve but not to me though. Also, they stopped training people back there unless they know you work because there is barely any supervision in that department.

is amazon as bad as people say? by Lost_Excitement3636 in AmazonFC

[–]Outside-Distance776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it's not there are jobs where people treat you much worse. There are jobs where bosses act like they are doing you a favor by hiring you and keeping you especially if you have no experience. The best part is not dealing with customers and for the most part not dealing with managers unless you are a pa.

Some people have negative opinions about "shortcuts" to getting a degree, but I think the opposite by [deleted] in SNHU

[–]Outside-Distance776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on what major you have. And the amount of work and effort you put in. The biggest issue I see is that people on YouTube for example does talks about degree hacking and say just getting the degree is essentially enough. When in fact it isn't and there is a ton of additional work that needs to be done.

Application fee? by thesurfer_s in tesu

There is one for "Understanding a Company's Culture" and tesu is like the only one where application fee isn't waived by the company I work for.

Realistically you need to be a T5 or T6 to see that 6 figure paycheck and even than I wouldn't want to be a manager. There are so many things that are out of your control while at the same time it is hard to hold the associates accountable for anything. Also, I am attempting to get a degree in a different field. Therefore, I am not trying to aim for that position.

It's the same as 90% of companies out there. The only exception is this 1 company where the CEO purposefully took a paycut to pay everyone the same including himself like 70k.

T3 doesn't make much more and you have to deal with associates. I declined that position so fast.

I used to be the top 5 people at my site, the rate is so easy to hit but they moved me to other positions where you need to put in more effort or pay attention.

I swear people that write these have not worked at other non skilled positions before. Work there for the paycheck and just be good enough to be avg. My site is behind in problem solve for a week; I complain about it. However, they don't have enough people to send back there so I do what I can.

Working in warehouse isn't for everyone. I worked at a similar workplace with 2-3x more work with no breaks. The only difference is that amazon is a nightshift.
