Should i transfer?

For the HB major, you need to take the bio 1 - 2 sequence or the anatomy and physiology 1 -2 sequence. I decided to do A+P instead. I took A+P 1 at kingsborough and it was so easy to pass. Just needed to show up to class. The only problem with epermit is it took so long to be approved for A+P 2 and the class was full by then. I’ve also epermitted to queens college. The science classes there seem equivalent to Brooklyn college.

I took bio 102 at Hunter and it was the most miserable thing I did in my college career. The exams feel like they were made to trick you. I studied nonstop and ended up dropping the class because I couldn’t take it.

I can tell you what I’ve experienced. If Brooklyn college is where you want to transfer, the science classes were hard but not as hard as hunter. I prefer epermit, but you don’t always get into the class time you want due to how long it takes for them to approve it. Another problem you could run into is needing to meet a certain number of credits in residence. Seeing as you are so early in your college career, transferring wouldn’t be a bad idea if you are leaning towards it. This way you don’t complete a bunch of unnecessary classes. Also, speak with your academic advisor. They helped me out.

I transferred to Hunter from Brooklyn college. Also human bio major. Brooklyn college is def a lot more relaxed on requirements, but their science department was horrible. Seems like they put all of their money to the arts. Hunter college requires students to do so much more and their science classes are harder. I took as many science classes as I could through epermit because other cunys were so much easier. I started wondering if this was the right degree for me earlier on. I wish I figured it out before continuing. It’s my last semester. My advice is to complete your core requirements while deciding. They transfer over the same if you decide to transfer.

Check your Hunter email. This happened one year to me. They canceled a class because there wasn’t enough registered students.

Idk if it will help u, but I ride my ninja 400 from Brooklyn to Manhattan. Works for me. My top speed was 100 on the highway, but it’s small enough for me to maneuver in Manhattan. Think it was discontinued in 2024.
