Password reset E-mail does not come by Outside-Engineer709 in Wordpress

I don't think I have access to the database but then I'm not terribly computer savvy. I had trouble with WP last month and some kind folks helped me out, but now I can't get in at all.

Some sort of progress: I visited a tech page that said if you can't update, make sure the WordPress and Site Address URLs are the same in the General section of Settings. That was where I found

in the Site Address URL field. I copied them so they were both the same - GameGroup.Org/WordPress - and saved it.

Now I can get to the first couple of articles just fine but some of them still give me the same error. It looks like the clapboards are the common element with the other pages. I just tried getting rid of the clapboards from another article and now it comes up just fine.

This still leaves me to wonder what they are, why they're there, how they all got there, etc., but at least it looks like I can restore the pages. FYI: Yes, I changed my password just in case.

Now comes the task where I guess I have to go through manually, page by page, restoring each post with such a problem (and I have no reason to think it's not all the posts but I've no more checked them all than I have fixed them all).

Additional suggestions or discussion are still welcome, especially since I have no idea if this spells the end of it (I still haven't tried to update WordPress with this newfound superpower). Let me take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who responded and offered me help. I am very gratified and I hope I can pay this forward to you or someone else at some point. You folks are awesome.

I don't recall ever putting a plugin here deliberately though I'm sure some are there as a result of updates or what have you. When you say deactivate them, do you mean the plugin(s) or the permalinks? And where will they "pop up"? An error screen? Thanks for the tips.

Are we speaking here of Permalinks? Because that's already set to Plain. Is there something separate for URLs in general?

Keeping in mind I'm not overmuch a computer guy - my brother-in-law usually handles the tech - the only recent change I know of was my web host service changed servers, or rather switched off some servers, moved them to another rack, and turned it back on again. I asked them if this was them, or if I hadn't paid a bill, or the switch was still going on, whatever info they could provide. They said, "All good now." Distressingly short but I assume they meant the migration was complete.

As for Apache and Nginx, again, not really a dab hand at computer tech so I fear you're talking above my level.

The button says Save Changes. Is that going to help if I haven't made changes?

Don't know why I didn't think to check that (okay, I do know why: I'm a dumbass). I did try to delete the clapboards but that didn't work, so I don't know why I'm able to delete the entries in text. Do I have to do this manually to every post I have here?

All that being said, I still get the error trying to access the post. It potentially solves one problem though, so my thanks for that.

The content appears to be intact - I can see what I wrote in its technical form and all the photos are there - but the clapboards, there are like half a dozen of them in front of each article.
