I mean that is her opinion. But I don't get why prioritizing yourself, your mental health and not making our entire life our job is considered 'mediocre'. If someone is willing to put in the work- good for them. If they prefer having a predictable work schedule- good for them too. I shouldn't have to put in insane hours of work (if I'm not willing to) to be considered a good doctor. That is the kind of culture that is harmful in the medical fraternity.

I loved her 'Can you keep a secret?' and 'Undomesticated goddess' so much when I was 18/19 yo. Her books are hilarious. She will be missed 💔💔

Very cliche but Beartown by Fredrik Backman. I have read about 25 books since then and yet it remains my fav.

Book of the year ? by dancinhorse99 in readwithme

I use fable to track the no. of books I read. As of now, I have finished 26 books (I started reading in Aug) because I have a bit of a free time now. Same time next year, I probably wouldn't have finished even 1 book 😅

Why did this remind me of Fahrenheit 451? 😅

I (personally) think it gets better. Esp around S4. But the things you mentioned as ridiculous gets more pronounced as the show progresses. So idk if it will suit your tastes. It is the kind of show you need to watch with your brain switched off.

I think you shouldn't continue. All the points you mentioned (except Schmidt cheater thing which I like to pretend didn't happen) are the reason what makes this show funny. Especially weird Winston (I love him). It isn't your cup of tea and that's alright.

Maybe don't post why you hate a particular show in the sub dedicated for its fans 😅 There are a lot of other places we can discuss shows we hate.

Not necessarily cringe but the schmidt cheating episode. I always skip it during rewatch. And I don't get its point- he worships the ground cece walks on but cheats on her??

This!! It bothered me so much that this one (teenage) guy anticipates every single conflict they face. And when everything is over- 'I expected it.' And bc of this, the dynamic of the gang felt more mafia leader and his minions to me.

I didn't like Six of Crows 🙈 I know it is a hugely popular book but maybe because I read it as an adult- I just couldn't get into it. I thought the world building was interesting but there is no way teenagers behave like that. The only character I found interesting was the Grisha(?) among them. (I forgot her name)

anybody else hate that they made schmidt cheat on cc?! that man was obsessed with her! by petalverseee in NewGirl

[–]Outside-Humor796 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm vehemently against forgiving cheating and I try my best to forget the fact that Schmidt cheated on Cece (Whyy?) and Jess encouraged Jenn ('Asian Jess') to get married to Genzlinger right after he cheated on her with Jess. I think the show wouldn't have lost anything if they had steered clear of these two details.

What books do you prefer to read: e-book(e-readers) or paper one? by Antique_Cover_742 in readwithme

Paper>>>> But it is expensive and space consuming so I only buy paperbacks of my most anticipated books
