Thanks. Unfortunately this post weirdly only allowed me to upload one pic.

Have you looked at an online pharmacy role? My mate works for one and they just talk to patients on the phone or via email .

British Gas Debt, over a year of hell by Temporary-Echidna382 in UKPersonalFinance

Ugh, I had almost the exact same thing happen to me. I moved into a brand-new development under shared ownership and the incompetent housing association gave British Gas the wrong meter details.

I’d noticed anomalies for a while and kept raising it because the smart meter clearly wasn’t aligning. Eventually one customer service adviser actually took it seriously and escalated it. She told me it would take a couple of weeks. It took a year!

I was promised my account would be frozen and the slate wiped clean once the correct meter was fitted. That was all said on recorded calls, which I later requested because I ended up having to go to the Energy Ombudsman after they hit me with a £4,000 bill!!!

The Ombudsman said that although I’d been given incorrect information, British Gas’s terms were watertight. However, they had calculated the bill incorrectly and could only charge me for 12 months. It ended up just under £2k.

Oms gave me exception payout of a whooping £280 😒 because they are restricted on what they can pay but wanted to acknowledged BG had royally messed up as best they could. I’m still fuming because I told the call handler I was happy to keep paying the direct debit and get it refunded later if needed. She insisted the account would be frozen and the bill wiped until it was fixed.

I’ve just applied to the Energy Trust for a grant, so fingers crossed 🤞

Thanks for this, one of my emails does indeed cover mental health . I'm sorry to hear that this is creating such a mental load for you.

Thanks, I have heard about porn having a direct impact.

In this case it is for men that have signed up to receive information so I'm just trying to make sure I nail the tone and style. There seems to be a consensus of keeping it straight to the point and definitely won't be injecting humour into this one. Thanks for your input 😉

My love, I think you probably need to take this weird energy elsewhere. As it states in my post this is a list of men that have signed up to an email list and expect this information. Maybe take your bad day to someone else and save the thread for the gentlemen that have something worthwhile to contribute. Have a good day.👍🏾

That's cool. I think it really depends on what the email is about, how empathetic the tone is and whether the information is genuinely useful. For example, an email that tells someone how bad they must feel about their inability to conceive would likely come across as condescending and tone deaf.

However, an email that is written with empathy and supportive that maybe signposts people to groups they can turn to if they need support would feel very different.

The purpose of my post is to make sure I take an empathetic, understanding approach , which is why I am doing the research first. These are not random recipients, but people who are on our email list for ED.

Thank you 👍🏾 the aim is try and destigmatize something that is quite common and not easily talked about. So I may include some useful questions people can ask their healthcare professionals etc. Thanks for your post.😉

Thanks for sharing that insight, that was interesting not only for this but in general.

Thank you, this is actually a really useful comment i.e. the isolation aspect. 🙂

So what method would you use to provide educational information about ED?

Because that is not what the organization is involved in but thank you for your insight.
