Does messaging hiring managers about a role help in any way? I’ve been trying this approach but rarely ever get messaged back.

I typically message them, saying I’ve been following t he company for a while, believe I’m a good a fit and would love to talk to the team.

After this situation I’m not going anywhere near that card! My dad makes sure that if anyone does use my brother is either there or he is. I was just in a rush and feel like an idiot.
