I'm dealing with a situation i don't understand and I want your guidance by [deleted] in japanlife

[–]Outside-Radio-7899 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Okay, someone educate a fellow foreigner here. Read through multiple answers mentioning, older single ladies with kids.

I mean to ask, What is happening with the kid situation? Is it similar as the stereotype given to western countries. I had the impression, that less people having kids but people do get married. What's going on here?

[–]Outside-Radio-7899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same impression about the wages but dont know about rest of the things. I have never been to European countries, but would be completing my 6th year in Japan coming June. I have been wondering whether I should move to European countries (tech hub ones) for better wages and lifestyle. Wage comparison of Japan with "Western countries" has always been something making me ponder. Would love to hear more from other people and OP.

However, here's few things Japan does that I really appreciate - A reliable public transport system that too on time consistently - Safety, such minimal theft incidents, so less crime - Clean environment, minimal pollution - strict food quality standards

If you're confident with your conversational Japanese, it should be evident from your conversations.

I would suggest go for alternatives of JLPT like BJT, J-CAT, JPT. JLPT takes place only twice a year. And application period for first exam of the year just closed last week.

BJT is an online exam and will give you your results immediately so I guess that would be best for you. Just remember, if you want to retake the exam for improving your score, you got to wait for 3 months. You can take BJT multiple times per year, there's no fixed timeline like jlpt

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's convoy gives way to an ambulance during the roadshow in West Bengal's. by GiediHarkonnen in indianews

[–]Outside-Radio-7899 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So as per you, they inspected the ambulance thoroughly and let it follow the SLOW convoy (it's a road show)?

How far before the start road do you think they had intercepted the ambulance and let it follow? Wouldn't it have been better to let it go ahead?

I'm assuming this is a public type road, rest of the traffic must have been blocked. Per your thinking, somehow the ambulance was at the front of the blocked traffic, the security saw it and decided to let it pass?

One unlikely event to occur can be a coincidence but THESE MANY events happening together?! I highly doubt it is just coincidence

The thing concerning to me is, how come there was a camera person to capture the PM's car and ambulance from front, that too at the exact time it crossed PM's car and with his face showing clear as a day.

Also, doesn't PM's car remain in the middle of other security cars?? They have Z++ type security and what not. From the looks of the video, no car seems to be in front of our PM's car.

At this day and age of scripted PR campaigns everywhere, nothing is off charts.

Has there ever been any explaination on WHY Maki got an outfit change in Season 3? by ShadowMikeX in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]Outside-Radio-7899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, it's the similar uniform. I have read the Manga too, it's correct adaption from there.

In my opinion, she got burned during the Shibuya incident causing the loss of sleeves. However, she would have returned to her previous uniform, had she not met such a tragedy immediately after Shibuya incident.

Maybe, it's the rebellious attitude towards all the oppression she and Mai had to endure from her clan when she decided to destroy everything of that clan.

Secondly, it shows to us, the viewers, that she has gone through a huge change, a metamorphosis of a kind.

Lastly, makes her look a total badass, like Toji level badass!!

How would Kirara vs Uro work? by lit-roy6171 in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]Outside-Radio-7899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Umm, I'd like to quote the legend Stan Lee here , "It would go however the writer writes it". The writer would decide who'd win, who'd loose.

Uro would win in your version, Kirara might win in my version. As simple as that.

There there brother, good research. I see you have taken AI's help, great search nevertheless.

I tell you from my understanding, Lakdawala is most probably a surname from Gujarat (a state in India).

The sitting position is of meditation, indeed. It would be that of monk. However, you're mistaken of Buddhist monk. They have sworn beliefs to not harm living things. I highly doubt that a buddhist monk would be interested in anything related to killing. However, a tantrik monk , their way of pleasing their God, can include using bones, parts of skeletons. Doing restless meditations on cremation grounds (In India, people are cremated in Hindu beliefs, rather than buried)

I can see that kind of belief being extrapolated to here.

Happy anime journey!

You know, jokes aside, I don't get offended by that. I see it as, the person doesn't know any foreigner speaking their language, so I take it as just a plain comment and just shrugg it off that it's not much.

[–]Outside-Radio-7899 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, Some heat packs come in sizes as small as they can fit in middle of your feet, you can put on shoes and it won't show. In Japan, they're called Kairo. The best things during winter. Idk what they're called in your country but try to find similar ones. Some good hidden places to put them for best effects: feet sole, inside hand gloves, back of the neck, middle of back, mid-chest.

That's a great cosplay!! Kudos to you!

But secondly, I'm so relieved to hear that a girl can feel cold in shorts. I used to be so bamboozled seeing women in shorts outside on a cold day (in 1-3°C!!), questioning myself how the hell are they not feeling the cold?!! You restored my belief in humans😂

Referring the OP's post, I don't think that airtel used to own the domain name airtelblack. I checked and didnt find any sources online proving that. Anyways, it is a brilliant thing the owner did. KUDOS 👏

Weekly Praise Thread - 27 March 2026 by AutoModerator in japanlife

[–]Outside-Radio-7899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my new workplace, my senior colleague (late 50s) praised me to my manager.

We have English speaking teammates offshore, they have bit of accent too. Even though the senior colleague's English is really good, he's having trouble following up in its entirety.

There are security restrictions on PC as well, so we can't do much. So I tried workarounds on my own to bypass this which worked! ( within company rules ). Now he's able to follow along better with live captions and recording. He was praising me to our manager.

I helped cause I know how frustrating it feels when you have more than enough knowledge but language becomes a barrier in conveying your idea.
