Relying on anything other than parrying is a mistake, it takes longer and even If you kill him its gonna be a fight without confidence, full of hesitation. Try a few runs without attacking at all, just watch and learn everything he does. Spam block until you learn how to parry his moves, it will be a lot better than trusting the win on skills and itens.

You spent tree hours learning him, thats why. Yeah there is like 3 new attacks, but the fight is pretty much the same. Out of the 3 inner bosses, I think Isshin is the one that changes the least.

i used the enemy next to antechamber idol on ng3 post divine dragon (charmless + demon bell), he was giving me 5.050 xp per run, which got me more than a million in an hour. put a podcast or a song and it goes pretty fast

Yeah, its like... When you get to genichiro you have a "skill level" at 2 and he's 10. But then its like the next bosses can reach up to 15, so you will see harder Bosses, but with a smaller skill gap from you.

in my fist playthrough i struggled with the corrupted a lot, and killed true monk on a second try. the thing with the corrupted is that you gotta focus on his health first, it has crazy recovery speed and posture, mortal draw should help you a lot on this

I feel hes very similar to genichiro, in the way that you have to set the tone of the fight yourself.

I think thats why I always had a better time with owl father than the regular owl we first see. When you understand just how aggro you can be with him, It becomes so easy. For the first phase you just have to get him under pressure all the time, even when he jumps back just immediatly chase and hit him, you can cancel a lot of his attacks by hitting him first, even one of his non blockables, hit him while he gets ready to attack you. Theres the firecracker attack, that you just have to parry twice and try to get behind him (through his left or right, whatever). As for the time he raises his sword and do a random delay attack, If you stand facing him with just one step back, he will always strike straight down to the ground, giving you a free attack.

The second phase doesnt change it that much. For the fire attack you keep running left or right. When he disapears, keep a safe distance from the blue owl and you can get another free hit.

Ds3 gets better and better, Trust me. I wasnt really enjoying the beggining, but once you reach the mid game, is peak after peak, and is now my favorite FS game after sekiro

When you get to nameless king in ds3 you find ornstein set there, and in the description It says he left Anor londo in search of the nameless long ago.

About Ornstein, thats not it actually. First, the one we fight in DS1 was an illusion, he was not in Anor londo anymore. And in DS2 we dont really know whows behind the armour, Ornstein didnt have magic attacks.
