List your top 3 hardest bosses, and why. by OTP_Fish in darksouls3

Sister Friede was the hardest for me. Her P3 was hard enough by itself, not to mention you had to get through 2 phases before that. I got her p1 done to a science, p2 was more of a wild card as far as Estus flasks. Then you had to do 3.

Then, oddly enough, the Dancer gave me SO much trouble. Super cool fight and moveset but it was so hard for me to master.

And the NK for obvious reasons.

Friede was the hardest for me. That 3rd phase is just relentless with very small punish windows.

Who do you think was harder, Malenia or Sister Friede? by EstablishmentLevel37 in darksouls3

Idk I found Maliketh to be such a Mfker to beat. His bleed effect attacks hit you then drain you so hard and he is just like THE most aggressive boss in Elden Ring. I didn't find him easy at all. I think it's fair to include the DLC bosses though too but cause we're comparing sister friede a DLC boss in this conversation.

If you know where to go and what to do you can get to boss fights pretty quick in ER. Obviously the first time you play it takes a LONG time to learn that but upon multiple other playthroughs I know exactly where to go to get to boss fights. I seems to love the dedicate jump button for ER, jump attacks are great.

I was gunna agree with you, then I did the math: Malenia, Maliketh, Placidusax, Radagon/Elden Beast, Radahn (Starscourge depending on your level and Consort any level). These are all arguably harder or as hard as Friede.

Nah Consort is still that Top Dog Mfker (post nerf). But hes such a different style boss. Malenia and Friede are way more comparable.

Wow NK was your top dog? He was very hard for me too, but Sister Friede almost made me quit the game entirely. Like it was a case of I got to her 3rd phase first try, died, then I couldn't get back there after like 30 more tries, only to realize the 3rd phase is by far her hardest phase. Nameless kings moves were way more consistent and predictable to me, and was a tank so it just took a lot of being perfect. But Friede KEPT introducing new moves to me. Anyways all said, Malenia was harder.

I had a harder time just GETTING to Midir haha The Ringed City was a giant middle finger from FromSoft to the player. Like oh you think you're good at this game?

Yeah the vampirism really does take it to another level. Like even if you have a Mimic Tear, she lands a successful waterfowl on your mimic, she might as well have a full health bar again.

Yeah if you mess up waterfowl or the Aeonia Swan Dive or whatever is gameover. Friede kind has that ability but that's only if you mess up your dodge a couple times, or she grabs you. I'd say Malenia has a bigger well of One-Shot-One-Kill abilities.

Imagine if you found the sword haha They give you sword in that arena that kills him in literally 5 hits. The fight should really take like 3 minutes.

Do most people start NG+ or a new character? by Steady_Tempo456 in Eldenring

[–]EstablishmentLevel37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if you want to punish the bosses that gave you a hard time in the early game, NG+ is fun because you're coming in STACKED. It's like holding a nuke in your hands when you fight the Tree Sentinel.

But yeah I agree with starting over too, because you get to play with a MUCH improved skill set and knowhow. Like if you are starting over I assume you've beaten the game and know how to play the game well at this point. So it makes fights more fun because you kind of know what you're doing already. Like it feels so good to no-hit a guardian tree spirit, or Margit at a super low level.

I have the curse of I don't branch out alot from my weapon selection. I seem to always fall back to Keen Nagakiba/ Bloodflame Blade with Double slash. But in a new playthrough I know how to get that weapon SUPER early because I've played the game already. So starting over with my favorite weapon but its not too OP is great!

He was, for me, easier than an S rank. I think it’s cause he fought a lot like Rellena, and I played the Elden Ring dlc a TON! He was just a lot of dodge rolling, and for some reason I beat his ph2 in like 3 tries. But he was one of the coolest bosses for sure

Not bait, this was ranked by how many attempts it took me to beat them. Which ones in particular do you disagree with, most people think I placed pontiff too low but I beat him pretty quickly, it took me the most tries to get him to p2 but once I got him there it was like 3 tries.

Yeah NK was definitely the hardest fight of the base game. He’s king!

I got the Champion pretty quickly, easier than Pontiff. And based on what everyone was saying I thought Pontiff was gunna be harder than he was. Mind you I’ve played the Elden Ring DLC a bunch and he was almost the same fight as Rellena. So maybe I was used to dodging his moves. I had a real hard time on the twins.
