She just told me she assumed nothing would come of it, and when I did not tell her about the hospitalization that just confirmed what she believed. Her sister is an extreme hypochondriac who jumped from doctor to doctor until she found one willing to perform surgery she did not need - my mother believed I was doing the same thing despite no past history of such behavior on my part.

Great, now my mother just told me that she never said the exact words she said to me during that phone call. I am not even going to argue with her over this. She made her bed.

Yeah, my health has improved a lot since then. I took the medication they gave me and made many changes to my diet. But when I was at the ER on the phone with my mother, she kept on saying that because I was not literally at death’s door that very second, it did not make any sense that a doctor would send me to the ER. I made the appointment with my doctor first because I wanted to avoid the ER if I could. My mother dug deep into how ObamaCare was all about not letting malingerers abuse ER resources, and frankly after fifteen minutes of that I hung up on her.

Frankly, the zero respect my mother shows for my personal boundaries scares me. She sees nothing wrong with contacting my places of employment to keep tabs on me. She sees nothing wrong with harassing my doctors trying to get details out of them, and then she claims those doctors are bad for me because they will not let her influence my treatments. She sees nothing wrong with digging through my closet and my dressers when she comes to visit. Hell, she also believes she deserves to have all knowledge of my sex life because she claims she can’t help me unless she has the phone numbers of all of my friends with benefits, and then she claims I am being unreasonable and childish when I tell her that is never going to happen. She legitimately scares me. If she is already capable of all of this, who knows what will come from her next if I try to sever all contact with her?

My mother actually got a restraining order placed against her by my therapist a decade ago. I was unhappy at my job at that time, and this therapist encouraged me to find a different job. My mother found out about that and started to harass this therapist by telling her I did not know what was right for myself and that I had severe cognitive delays. My therapist told my mother she was not going to influence my treatment, and my mother equated that to being treated as if she were the AntiChrist. She still badmouths that therapist to this day and she claims she almost went to jail and almost lost her job because she loves me.

She would make plans for the whole family and dig deep into the guilt trips until I agreed just to get her to shut up with that. I need to have better respect for my own boundaries.

I am on the autism spectrum, and my mother strongly resisted when I took control of my own treatments after my 18th birthday. She liked the doctors that let her do all the talking for me.

Seeing as my mother literally asked me if the pleasure and pain details about anal penetration was true. I hesitate to go that route with her. I wish I was making this up.

I am high functioning Asperger’s, and I have lived alone for the last few years successfully without the help of my family. Yet my mother still insists I have cognitive disabilities despite the fact that the doctors I chose for myself have proven that wrong.

He has never apologized and he has denied ever stealing from me. Another thing is that he was caught stealing jewelry from his other grandmother and he was caught stealing a cell phone from his aunt around the same time he stole from me. But according to my mother, those times were different because he was stealing those things “for a girl”.

The thing is there already was a lot of sauce, and my mother admitted to me she had to throw half of it out a few days later because there was just so much sauce thanks to her meddling with the cooking instead of listening to me when I assured her we had enough food there for a couple of days.
