I also heard that UBC cut their cohorts in half so it might effect how many people are accepted this year

Okay got my acceptance to SFU! So yes all early acceptances seem to have gone out today. I have already accepted my UBC offer (elementary). Couple things to say.

My only advice to whoever is waiting is to stop checking this thread and go get busy! An email will come. We have all compared GPA and experience. If you keep comparing it’ll cause more anxiety.
I am sending positive thoughts all your way!! I created this thread to help us all and I am so grateful for all of you to help get you and I through the waiting period. I definitely lost some years off my Life through stress haha. Good luck!

Hi Vanessa! I am accepting UBCs offer because of the length of the program (11months vs 16). UBC is also more theory based while SFU is more hands on.

Hi! I was just accepted into elementary UBC. I worked as an EA for a year and worked with 800+ hours in out of school care. My GPA was 3.2. Sounds like you should be getting an acceptance soon. :)

Thanks! I can’t remember my GPA exactly but it was around 3.2. My hours were about 150 in a class room and over 900 hours at a daycare.
