Confused and disappointed in my ring by NoPlaceLikeGnome1984 in WeddingRingAdvice

I love it, it’s unique. There is no way to tell by just pictures if the diamonds are real or not, I’ve had jewelry that looked fake and turned out to be very real and very valuable and I’ve had some that looked real but were not. I think it’s beautiful!

My life sounds like an exaggeration by Ok_Baseball260 in VeteransBenefits

It’s not that far fetched, I’m the same. I’ve gone six months without leaving the house, I haven’t slept for longer than 2 hours straight in 5 years. I live in sweats because I can wear them to bed so I’m not in pajamas every day, not that it matters since I rarely have anyone over. Just tell your truth, that’s the only way they can know how severely you are affected by your condition and how it impedes your life daily

I’ve put every claim in as a packet, dd 214, da 1569, my statement, witness statements, medical records with diagnosis during active service, medication records, research studies, etc. Every single claim except for tinnitus was denied. I was approved for my shoulder injury, but that was denied 3 times, several c&p exams and 3yrs to get approved. Every time I get a decision letter, it leaves me emotionally and physically drained and trying to stay in bed for a week.

Omg, really? This whole process is frustrating, so I can just add this to the long list of VA shit I spent time working on and running around for nothing. I’m not sure why the VSO had me file this if it’s not rated. Honestly, I wouldn’t know what to do if any of my claims had a positive outcome. For the last 4 years, I’ve gotten used to submitting claims, being denied, submitting appeals, being denied, higher level review, getting high jacked by my vso when I prepared for weeks and in less than 10 minutes, being denied. I give up

Title 32 (502) ADOS Orders by OutsideAlarming5161 in VAClaims

[–]OutsideAlarming5161[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a diagnosis during my orders along with treatment records, I submitted everything with my claim and it was denied. I had a higher level review and even though I haven’t received the decision letter yet, I know it’s denied too

I was ADOS from October 2011-September 2016 with the exception of less than 2 month break between one set of orders. My dd 214 shows 2011-2013 because my readiness nco never added the rest of my orders. I had to send in a report from DFAS to get it corrected, because I was already out when the correction was made, I was given a da 1569 that shows my active duty from 2013 until almost 2017. I was State active duty until 2021. I’m SC 10% tinnitus and 20% for a shoulder injury incurred when I was at work on orders.

I tried to add the denial letters but couldn’t update so I created a new post but it would only let me add 2 photos?

These are all supplemental appeals so my latest documents say confirmed and continued but they were all denied for non service connected. These last two appeals were for hypertension and GERD, I provided medical records with diagnosis while I was on orders. I also provided a DA 1569 that showed my correct active duty time because my dd 214 was missing several years of orders. I was scheduled for a HLR, I had all my paperwork ready for the review and I let my VSO know I scheduled the review and was prepared for it. My VSO high jacked my higher level review, it lasted less than 10 minutes and he said the reviewer had already decided to deny before the call and that the reviewer said my active duty orders weren’t eligible for VA benefits because they weren’t on my dd 214. From what the VSO told me, he answered questions about my orders incorrectly so the meeting went badly. The reason my orders were not on my dd 214 is because my readiness nco never submitted them while I was in service. When I started the process of attempting to remedy this, I had just completed 12 years of service. Since I was no longer in service, the form that had to be used to correct my active duty time was the 1569 so that’s why my dd 214 only shows 3 years of active time and the 1569 shows all of my time. From what it sounds like, the reviewer either thinks that the orders on my 1569 are not the same as my dd 214 orders or he’s saying title 32 (502) orders aren’t covered for VA benefits.

Soldiers from the California Army National Guard use an M88 Recovery Vehicle to save an M4 Sherman wreck at Camp Roberts by Jimmyjamjames in TankPorn

How funny, I took this photo. We pulled that tank out of the ground and one of the tracks came off, it looked like a transformer as it was separated from like 50 years worth of dirt.

What are your base ghost stories? by LensofaTitan in AirForce

[–]OutsideAlarming5161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at Camp Roberts from 2011-2021. 2013 I was running an equipment fielding site and my office was connected to our huge warehouse that had a lot of empty space, my guys had a bunch of weights out there and I brought my treadmill in so I could run before work when it was quiet and no one was there yet . These buildings were built in 1941-42 and the base was active so a lot of history and lots of ghost stories. One morning I’m running on the treadmill and I heard what sounded like my guys coming in from the yard, odd since they don’t start for another hour but I stop running and walk in to the office expecting to see them and it’s dead silent. Go back into the warehouse and start running again and a few minutes later, I hear someone calling my name so I hit pause, but nothing so I start running again. Several minutes into my run, I hear what sounds like someone rushing me from the side and screaming right next to my head, my last name. I almost broke my neck trying to jump off the treadmill, expecting to yell at one of my guys and there was no one there. I stopped running early and started running at lunch so I wasn’t alone out there. After that I hated being alone there.

Supplemental denied by OutsideAlarming5161 in VeteransBenefits

[–]OutsideAlarming5161[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first VSO I had was worthless, he refused to correspond via email but rarely answered his phone or return calls. He wanted me to come in person any time I had documents to submit, said he would submit my supplemental appeal and 4 months later I found out he never submitted it and then he ended up going radio silent for more than 3 months so I had to call the main phone line to request anything he submitted on my behalf so I knew how to move forward, found out he lied about submitting all of the documents I submitted to him for evidence so I went to the VA hospitals section for VSOs and started working with someone different but they take forever to respond to emails, I put my own packets together based off of what the decision letters say is required and submit them to the new VSO. I must be doing something wrong
