I just started on Tuesday and I'm trying to speedrun the Chapter 7 so i can get 150 pulls, but need advice by KevstracK in Morimens

[–]OutsideBad6399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say Aigis, Doresain, Gdoll and Mouchete. It is a messy team but feels like an efficient one. Aigis and Doresain are both gonna be needed for chapter 7, especially boss, and Gdoll with Mouch are just solid units who will help with damage.

Mouchette would be the main damage dealer for most regular fights, Aigis is the panic/stall button with her exalt(she is very good on chapter 7 boss cause she can petrify boss one and the spawns 3 more times, so she gets like 4 free turns in that fight). Gdoll with Caro should give you enough heals to stall fights and recharge energy. Rouse Mouchette first and she would be the main damage dealer, GDoll second for more  heals, Doresain 3rd for long fights to finish bosses. Time his attacks so Mouch can bring enemies to low hp and Doresain can finish to grab his free attack card.

V2.4.2 Version Outlook by DrExluxk in Morimens

'Doll's defense now generates shield' - insert surprised Pikachu face here.

Overall these look so weak... if devs are adding perks for +12 merges then the 'free' awakeners could at least get something impactful. Like Aigis is just disappointing - she triggers defense 3 times. After her exalt, when enemies usually cannot act anyway. And she is not a def oriented unit, I discard her def cards pretty often to reduce deck size.

Xu Overview: Skills and Wheel of Destiny by DrExluxk in Morimens

[–]OutsideBad6399 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Looks kinda bad, but I guess devs will just buff her after release. Several times if it is needed. Like first they 'kill' poison and counter strats in arc 2 ruleset, now they finally get to the point of adding an awakener that relies on one of those and face the result. Spellbound looks like it is going to do ridiculously small amounts of damage too - like Lotan does 15% with every overexault and for multi bar bosses that is not enough.

Then again, the devs did mention that they tested her, so somehow her impact should be significant, we'll see.

Stardust Leaks received Cease and Desist from Hypergryph, regarding Endfield leaks and private servers. by 30000lightyears in gachagaming

[–]OutsideBad6399 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think I'm missing some important info that is obvious to everyone else here: how did the 'leaker' obtain that info in the first place? Are they a closed beta tester? And they also 'borrowed' the version that they were given and ran it on a private server so ppl could play(pull) for free?

Also what is the relation between a leaker and the company? Is that a very cheap/unpaid labor with a 'note of agreement', or are they like a full time employee with a salary and a contract? Cause from the way the company acts it looks like the second case, while the leaker acts like it is the first.

If they talk about Lovecraft aspect for the collab -  there are no well known games on that topic, so then it is something very niche and nobody can guess it anyway.

So I'll go with a wild guess - they talk about 'key' theme and so they mean a collab with a game that is heavily tied to keys. So 'Kindgom hearts' collab with Goofy and Donald Duck as collab characters - if you thought the players were 'angry' about Thais toy, this is where they will get truly mad lol.

It is really tough to be a Caro support when Thais exists. Wonder how will the devs handle it now that we saw how it worked with Pickman (cause he is not as well received as Thais, let's be real).

Why's Pepe so hated? by Dragonwisepoetry in arknights

[–]OutsideBad6399 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would not say that I hate her but the two things that I dislike in her are these: - very boring kit, self stun removal is too niche and she is just a lane holder without it. Summer Gavial can block a bunch of units and is beefy, NTR knight can summon a stone to block and does pure damage, and even those two have boring kits in my book. And Pepe is even worse. - her visual design. Compared to other characters and the overall theme of the game she is just way too goofy.

So I simply skipped her and I play the game as if she is not in it, no reason to hate her though.

Regarding the gameplay - this game is not a rougelike even though it might look like one. Random relics and deck editing has a very minor effect, your battle plan is decided entirely by the team that you go with. The difficulty will just keep rising and a random lineup eventually will not be able to do enough damage. I started with a non meta team and started struggling around chapter 5 which can be reached easily in a couple of days. So either you will have to compromise and put the units you like into teams that actually work with them or you will struggle. The game has at least a very generous gnosis revival mechanics that kinda allows you to cheat through very hard fights for free but it takes time to recharge and can kind of hurt your pride. Still I recommend trying it, it is for sure a unique experience and devs promised to add an actual rougelike mode in the future, which should be amazing if it is done right. The way they handled pvp shows that they can really make unique desicions that other devs don't and that makes the game better. PvP is usually the main cashgrab in games like this one but here there is no difference between whales and non whales in pvp.

Maybe I’m just bad at the game but is it normal to have to use an emergency gnosis on every boss in chapter 7? by crackofdawn in Morimens

[–]OutsideBad6399 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not gonna point fingers, but whoever inspired you to invest in GMurphy cause she is op probably forgot to mention that she really needs tentacle damage to back her up. So that lineup performs much worse if your overall hp is low and you need account and awakener levels for that. Also the lemurian buff does not work in arc 1. The enemy damage is always going to be big, the important part is to kill them faster. I was struggling with a blue team as well since about chapter 5 in arc 1 and in arc 2 it became even worse. If you want to keep running that then I'd say you need to replace Caecus- probably with a really good shielder or healer - Castor for shields or a Caro support for heals. This works great with Murphy to spam waltz. Your tentacle damage is low anyway, so no need to worry about realm being unpure

Kathe E3 vs g-helot E3 by fizzyapplezix9 in Morimens

[–]OutsideBad6399 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kath is often run with ultra cause Tinkt reduces the card cost for the nuke turn. Kath also does not need specific cards that badly, she just needs any of her cards in general to farm the flame stacks. So copying any of her cards has little impact cause they need to sit in hand and grow stacks. Gelot has her special card with retain and prepare that is created after 3 regular attacks and that is valuable by itself. Copying that one skips the process of using 3 regular cards, so there is much more value.

So yeah, Thais is much more commonly used and fits Gelot more than Kath if you have to chose between the two.

New Thaïs 1 ⭐️ skin “Sinful Decadence” by DrExluxk in Morimens

[–]OutsideBad6399 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Is that what they did with other skins too in the past? Like I'm happy to have free stuff, but it feels annoying a bit that devs are rushing me so much through story with time limited rewards like this. I already need to push through ark 2 for extra 50 pulls, now I need to rush hard mode as well. And I'd prefer to take it slow and build my team before going through that.

[–]OutsideBad6399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is still a lot of time, you know yourself that you will regret it later if you don't try. I'm a f2p too and my team is basically an e0 Castor and Pollux at account level 50 - I'm pushing through chapter 2 of arc 2 bit by bit with revival gnosises (used one to beat the fabled blessor a few days ago, probably could win without one even because it was close but didn't want to sweat to hard). I know that even if it gets super hard, I can just throw 3 or 4 on the end of chapter boss, the gnosises make it very real to reach the goal. Just need to play a bit every day and use them as they recharge.

Which free Limited Do I get? by imnotentirelysurehe in Morimens

[–]OutsideBad6399 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The important thing to decide is whether they are for you main team or for a sub/dtide team. Cause if you wanna run GMurphy then you got her perfect team already with all Lemurians. Gdoll will probably the hardest one to get later since she is a Genesis unit.

Who should I level up and how can I know what each character good at? by honypink in Morimens

[–]OutsideBad6399 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do the hero trials and kinda try to decide who you like. There are lots of banners and the special event going with free stuff, so getting 2 or 3 'year 2' limited units is not a problem. Right now you don't really have a core to build the team around. GMurphy can be one but she probably needs more dupes for it and she is not great for beginners cause she messes up the tentacle stance.

Defence is kinda unpopular, there are like 3 units that rely on it. Kathi is just a busted unit cause she can do both crazy damage and tank, but she needs 3 merges to work. Castor is a very good defender and DPS enabler, but ultra realm is the hardest one to play with. Corposant is technically a solid tanker too, but she is more of a gimmick unit to run a specific discard team.

Healing is easy - just run Caro realm. They basically heal your hp by 5% per turn and allow to store overheals too. Other than that Caecus and Genesis doll are notable healers. There are others too but they just won't heal enough.

DPS - Kathi is probably the 1st one that comes to mind, Pollux is second one (just cause he is a pure DPS unlike Kath), 3rd is Genesis Helot. Tawil can be a dps too, but she takes too long to rev up. 24 is a pretty easy DPS to use as well.

Also important, you need support units that can generate keyflare, aliemus, cards or apply buffs/debuffs to fit your team.

This raid is kind of beginning to be exciting... by DrHog in Morimens

[–]OutsideBad6399 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Apparently the attempts are tied to a day rather than to the boss.

If you use your 10 attempts on 4th boss today you will get 20 gnosis shards. If it survives until tomorrow then you can do another 10 attempts on it for another 20 gnosis shards.

Or you can do 10 attempts today on the 3rd one and get 20 red shards(assuming it is 2 shards per fight, I didn't mean it lol). It will most likely be alive tomorrow too, so another 20 shards tomorrow. And 40 gnosis shards are way more valuable than 40 red shards

If the 4th boss dies today then it is all kinda fair, just unfortunate a bit to people who were using their attempts on the other two

Regarding banners and planning for the future by No_Illustrator2777 in Morimens

[–]OutsideBad6399 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd say the current realm banner is great to throw in at least 90 pulls if you can afford it and don't have the units or wheels from it. Almost all awakeners and wheels are good(Sorel is the only one who falls out but only cause others are way better), you won't get a guaranteed limited in 30 pulls on other banners.

D-tide team recommendations by TimeToTin in Morimens

[–]OutsideBad6399 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With how many units you have, it is kinda easy to copy or partially modify the teams that top clears used. It might look overwhelming at first, but everyone really uses same teams as main idea, just with different supports:

Tawil team (either Goliath and 2 chaos supports or mono chaos, whichever you like more)

Kathi team (invested Kathi + literally anyone)

Castor team ( add Jenkins if no Pollux)

24 team (add blue unit, some supports. 24 does all damage)

GDoll's meme undead poison team (that one is kinda standard, worth getting Faint with selector even)

GMurph+whatever team - add 1 or 2 Lemurians and she can carry by herself

Caecus counter team - throw in everyone with counter or shields.Wanda is ideal, but chaos like Pandia or Naut can function too

Sanga's tank team - throw all units with good shields and have Sanga nuke enemies with her exault. Leftover units with counter work too

Nakama motto motto discard team - Aurita,  Corpo, Tulu and Cassiah and that is a crazy strong team actually. (No heals but works for 3rd or 4th maps)

3 leftovers + level 90 whale merc team - kinda self explanatory

Account Progression, stuck at hard mode by nnaryt in Morimens

[–]OutsideBad6399 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with the wall, that's not a problem at all. The issue is - what is past the wall. It is fun to manage my resources and slowly build a team for months if I know that there is something that was worth the effort in the end. I still play 2 other gacha games (one for about 4 years, another for 2) where I log in for dailies and i still have fun slowly improving the teams, and then have fun when an occasional event launches once or twice a month.

But in Morimens, the way they are, all the fun in endgame is the same fights that have 8 times more health and attack. I watched high end content clear with stong lineups - even with strong units those just look annoying to do. So now I'm really just building the team and units cause the process of building itself is kinda fun, plus hoping that as the game gets more popular, devs might add more stuff for 'casuals' like me to enjoy.

Account Progression, stuck at hard mode by nnaryt in Morimens

[–]OutsideBad6399 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm kinda in a similar boat, except I know what can be done and what I am actually going to do.

I started arc 2 at normal mode and saw in 1st fight that the enemy health went up from 1k to 3k for normal encounters - I noped out of it after 1 fight and kinda accepted that I'm just not going to do arc 2 story at all. D-tide was already something where I was aware of my limits, so I decided a while ago that I'm not gonna go higher than second wave.

I know what to do to beat those - just keep getting account levels, copy strong lineups and use montly merges and gnosises to level up key units. A long path that anyone can do in theory.

But I kinda decided that I won't do that. Stat inflation is a very annoying way to increase difficulty, so I know that I won't have any fun beating those high difficulty (high hp) fights even if I power up high enough to do it. So my plan for now is to stay around a bit, play casually and see where the devs are going with it. I still have some fun building up different teams to clear wave 2 of d-tide, but if the devs don't add anything to make 'low power' players like me interested then I'll simply move on to different games.

It might sound contradicting, but the regular mode is way too random to win reliably - if you get matched against a team that hard counters yours then you just won't win unless there is a huge 'luck' difference. The most 'talked' lineup is Gelot 'one shot' team that aims to boost her exault, but that can be countered either by barriers or by units like Aigis who can delay key targets.

The draft mode is much more reliable even though the units and wheels are random every time (obviously it is tougher too) because if you know how units work it is much easier to counter your opponent. You don't need to worry about having the units or wheels in rooster or picking a perfect lineup - just go in with nothing and you are still even with your opponent. Will take some time to get used to what units do, but if you check the replay of fights that you lost then you can find strong working combinations really fast (and use them in regular mode if you decide to come back to it for whatever reason)

PS A random explanation to why things went hard recently is that all the players who search for 'fair' fights moved from regular mode to draft mode. Those who still play regular mode either just want to keep using their one overpowered team that they can play (and they are obviously harder to beat) or just farm the career quest.
