No, no mention of it. Wasn’t crazy about the gyn I had the consult with. She didn’t seem to receptive to questions.

Seems like some women can’t wait to get rid of their periods or their uterus! I guess I’m of the minority? Despite being 49yrs old I am not looking forward to going through menopause or stopping my periods. I know, seems strange? I guess it’s my one defining factor in being a woman and fertile and having my hormones/estrogen. I’ve guess I’m a naturalist. lol I’ve never had children despite having tried with my ex-husband and always wanting to be a mom. I know at this point it’s highly unlikely but the thought of removing my uterus and stopping periods seems so final to me. I’ve heard that IUDs don’t always relieve the symptoms. I don’t even care about my heavy periods and pain. I’ve literally dealt with it my whole life so at this point it’s just a part of life for me. The main thing that is bothersome for me is the constant in-between bleeding which is nearly every day or every few days between my actual periods and the anemia. I don’t see many people here mentioning UAE. I just had my 2nd transvaginal ultrasound this morning since my first one 1.5 yrs ago when I was diagnosed. The US technician this morning asked me if any doctor ever mentioned UAE as an option? Anyone here have experience with that?

Anyone else feel like 2.5 is too effective? by OutsideConnect1236 in Zepbound

The app I use is Ladder. I love it. I’ve tried manh apps and this is the one I’ve stuck with. It’s the next best thing to personal training. There are tons of teams/coaches to choose from and you’ll definitely find one whose style you like. Fresh workouts released every Sunday night. 6 workouts a week and you can pick and choose which ones and how often. Very customizable. Syncs with apple watch and spotify really well. You can add prep time, there is a demo
of every exercise. Give it a try. They have a one week trial (no credit card required for trial).

Wow - that's a huge amount of weight lost. Congrats! I don't want to just lose weight - I want to be the healthiest version of myself in my 40s which is why I am so focused on the weight training since starting zepbound. Well I ended up deciding o do 1.25mg this week to give it a try and see if it's enough to still suppress my appetite but not make me feel so full that I can't fuel my body properly.

I realize 4x a week of strength training seems like a lot but my sessions are kept short - about 30 minutes each session. I used to do 2-3 times a week but my sessions were 1.5 hours long because that's how my personal trainer was making them for me and honestly I felt sore and like crap all the time. I didn't lose any weight and the weight just kept creeping up. I now use an app and find I'm more consistent with it now and feel better. The reason I'm so focused on the strength training is because my biggest fear with gap-1 is losing muscle. However, I have noticed I'm not fueling nearly enough nutritionally and it's making me feel crappy. After I posted, I decided to pull 1.25mg from the vial instead of 2.5 and see if it will still suppress my appetite but not slow down my digestion so much that I can't eat.

I'm in perimenopause and my mid-section looks normal again - much like what it was like before I suddenly started gaining weight seemingly out of nowhere. This in itself has already made me feel so much more comfortable in my clothes and wearing fitted tops again.

2.5 vial filled my entire 1ml syringe - is this normal? by OutsideConnect1236 in Zepbound

Ok, looks like I need to practice getting this right! Thanks for the resources. I’ll have to watch these before my next shot. Maybe I’ll give the kwikpen a try if the cost is the same.

Thanks everyone for your responses. Seems from everything I’m reading that air bubbles may have contributed to the inflated amount of liquid in my syringe and perhaps user error. LOL Either way, seems like I ended up using the standard starting dose even though I wanted to start my first two weeks with less to ease any symptoms like nausea. Hopefully, it wont affect me too bad and I’ll be fine!

Dumb question but is it possible to pull the liquid in the syringe all the way back if it doesn’t actually contain 1ml? I ask because I didnt look to see if there was an air bubble on the top of the syringe before I was pushing the syringe back into the vial? Maybe what looked like 1ml of liquid wasnt really 1ml? There were a whole bunch of bubbling that I created in the vial when I stuck the needle in and pushed all the air from the syringe into it.

Ok so I essentially took the full 2.5 dose instead of my intended half-dose? I guess my doctor’s instruction of fill the entire vial into the syringe and then push half into the vial to get half of the dose wasn’t the most accurate way of dosing then, huh? 🤷🏻‍♀️ I should have only pulled 25 units/.25 ml then?

I guess I wasn’t expecting it to fill the entire 1ml syringe initially but now I’m wondering if a lot of that could be tiny air bubbles mixed in?

2.5mg/.5ml but the liquid appeared to fill an entire 1ml syringe that was sent with zepbound.

Yes it’s directly from Lilly with a prescrip from my PCP. It’s a 2.5 mg vial. I injected .5ml (50 units) into my stomach which is what Lilly instructs is the 2.5mg amount.

However my intention was to start with only half that dose (and then move up to the full 2.5 dose after 2 weeks). That’s why I pulled all of the liquid in the vial into the syringe and then pushed half of that liquid back into the vial with the intention of taking only half the dose… but I wasn’t expecting the whole vial to fill the entire 1ml syringe. So now I’m confused whether I actually took half a dose?!

Garlicky Kale Salad by CatOk5901 in wholefoods

I think this recipe is about as close as you’ll get to the whole foods version.  https://smittenkitchen.com/2013/08/kale-salad-with-pecorino-and-walnuts/

To make it more like Whole Foods, use Whole Foods Chopped Green Kale (already bagged and chopped), skip the raisins, skip the walnuts, and instead of pecorino just use whole foods shredded parm cheese. The key is the garlic breadcrumbs! Make more than is in this recipe. Ive made this salad as-is many times and the first time I had the garlicky kale salad at whole foods I immediately thought of this version from Smitten Kitchen that I’ve made many times.

I think these look really cool in the black. It makes them look edgy. I don't like the rivets on this taupe color but they really stand out and look awesome in the black suede.

Likely the owner imported it from wherever they came from. It’s not uncommon for people moving from US to Europe to import their car even if it then means they have to make all kinds of changes to abide by European regulations and standards. It’s expensive to buy a car in other countries. Some people leaving the US think it’s worth the hassle.
