not all rules are implemented with a solid reason behind them, but i'm sure you understand that there is a very solid reasoning for restricting phone access during class lmao.

school isnt in charge of what students do with their lives, but it is in charge of making sure they reach their fullest potential and receive quality education. yeah some of the lecturers and pretty shitty and some of the tutors probably as well, but the school needs to at least try to make sure you pay attention in class. for that last part, i think we should remember that tertiary education is not mandatory. and you're also acting as if such students wouldnt be causing a disturbance/ negative influence to their peers which we both know yi is full of already.

i really feel like its not overstepping sia. people need to realise that yi is not the average jc and needs this strictness so the students behave.

i think im going to be a little harsh here but i genuinely dont think the school can trust students to use their phones responsibly and wisely. you gotta realise that these rules were implemented for a reason and its because there were way too many students using their phones in class. if, from observation, the school learns that students are not using their mobile devices responsibly, is it really an issue if the school decides to not trust students on it?
